This feature (which can't be turned off) basically makes it so when on calls, the anc is almost conpletely turned off, and one of the main things I do is have calls in a noisy environment. Just make sure to not get these if you think sidetone will be an issue, to my knowledge, every other brand allows you to turn this off or doesnt even have it.

The WF-1000XM4 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones, try to use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience. Glad I did my homework! The sound is top notch for wireless and the app allows a lot of EQ customization. Sound canceling is better than expected. Was a little worried about the fit/design, but once I changed the ear pieces - perfect fit! Comfortable to wear for hours. Charging case - charged up fast and is constructed well. Super happy with these! Apps are great as well!

And if you disable music playback for, say volume control, for some reason you lose assistant access for voice control

Walking around a noisy, busy grocery store and I hear nothing...... Walk outside in the rain and nothing again, not even the cars driving past. The sound quality is amazing, bass is incredible and rivals my bose headphones with crisp highs. I was doubting these would be worth the money but so far I am very happy

Great Sony audio quality and better smaller size…

I had the previous generation and loved the sound but didn’t like the size. This new generation is a perfect size now and very happy with foam tips (big fan of foam) Great phone quality off course. PS: Gave away my last Sony WF-1000XM3 to an hardcore Apple fan and I think he might jump ship….sound is what he was impressed with.
