Also they cut off on me while running.the battery life is great though.

Regardless, it still works and has been very useful during all this time... was expecting to use it for two entire years at least :/ close enough I suppose... tho I won't be picking up another Sony buds next time

Noise canceling is absolutely fabulous it doesn’t matter what’s going on in the background. Music sounds fabulous there’s an app with an equalizer to make any adjustments. Very long battery life which is a plus. You can’t go wrong with these. Very easy to use

But locking features such as the 3D audio behind service and subscriptions as well as the earbuds themselves being extremely uncomfortable in my ear regardless of the bud size. I could only listen for about 25-30 minutes at a time. Very disappointed considering the stellar sound quality.

Why all the fuss about the "awkward" fit?

These fit my tiny ears perfectly and they're the ONLY buds without wingtips that fit and stay in my ears without falling out. I've tried many and these are the only ones. As far as sound quality goes they're top notch. The bass is a bit lower than the SP800n I own but the M4s highs and lows and sound quality are much better.

Posted .Hi JonathanF, We're glad that you like the audio quality. Different sizes of earbud tips are supplied so that you can achieve the maximum effects of the earbuds. Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. To keep the headphones from falling out, please select the right size earbud tips. We also recommend to properly wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

You can enjoy crystal clear call quality, even in noisy environments and our speak-to-chat technology automatically reduces volume during conversation. I'm a trance music lover and I mostly listen to trance music which is 120 to 140 BPM music, its not the beats you're listening, there are various instruments playing in the track while you're listening. I literally could listen to the background music or vocals that I did not hear all this time with other headphones (totally depends on the song you're listening to). I've had experience with all the major headphones and the premium ear buds but the performance of the XM4's is top notch. The best noise cancellation ear buds in the market right now. The speak to chat feature is next level. The memory foam ear pieces are good but delicate, I love how they fit in my ears with no zero pain. I don't see the need for multipoint Bluetooth feature in my day to day life which is why 5 star, otherwise 4.5. Sound quality - 9.5 Active Noise Cancellation - 9.5 Microphone performance - 8 Controls on the XM4s - 9

Used them for about 720 hours, and the battery now doesn't last last more then a few hours. Buy cheaper headphones as it's worth the benefits of not having to put out $300 for a pair of headphones. Would be better if they lasted longer battery wise but it went from lasting 5 hours to about three

The Galaxy Buds Pro however, literally caused a pretty severe ear infection (widely reported issue- google it if interested), so I purchased the SONY earbuds and what an astounding difference!! I have a set of SHURE 535 IEM's that I thought could never be rivaled for their sound quality but these SONY's give them a real run for the money! Sound stage and quality is absolutely wonderful and the noise-cancellation is the best I've ever experienced! The Sony Headphones app made it super-easy to pair with my (android) phone and SONY's LDAC codec delivers my music at the highest bit rate currently available, which of course, provides an unparalleled listening experience compared to anything else I've tried at this price point. If you're thinking about these take my advice - go ahead and buy them!! You won't be disappointed!!!
