The noice from the electrical equipment was getting into the ear buds. And it was annoying. Also the foam was not so great and when the ear buds where lose in my ear the sound ambient activated and was also annoying. But the noise canceling was good and music sounded clear.

If you are hearing noise from the electrical equipment from your work, the noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Better than the AirPods Pro and jabra 85t, which I both owned. Doesn’t have multipoint but doesn’t take away from how great they sound and you can’t forget the 12 hrs of playtime(w/o noise cancelling). 5/5

Honestly noise cancelling is underwhelming for a industry-leading product. Will probably have to wait a decade till we get truly noise cancelling headsets. If you got the money, it’s definitely worth it. But I don’t, so I had to return them.

They are a step above and beyond any earbuds. My opinion is to tell you to spend the extra money and get these. They are phenomenal. The thing most don't talk about but I love is that when you start talking these automatically stop playing and it goes to ambient sound so you can continue on your phone call or talk with whomever. The sound quality is the best I've ever heard (and I've owned over 4 earbuds trying to find a pair like this). Also, it has other features like Google assist and Alexa and when you lay one bud down the other still plays. I haven't played too much with the other benefits but so far I'm sold. I was going to just try these, see if they really owned up to the hype, and then return them and wait for them to go on sale but never mind. I'm keeping these.

Amazing in every way but one

Only reason for loss of 1 star is comfortability. i've tried every tip but after a while these just hurt a bit in my ears. not so much that i couldn't keep them in over a recent 2 hr flight but enough to notice. I love everything else about them so I'm willing to deal with the minor discomfort but it's definitely downside I didn't see coming.

-Check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.

Like allowing you to connect to two different devices, ability to talk to chat, and it also detects what you at doing and adjusts how the buds work. I'm unfortunately having issues with the sound and the mics. People have trouble hearing me when talking on the phone. Currently trying to with with Bestbuy to exchange for another set.

Best noise cancelling out there!

If you put these on, you won’t hear a thing. They also have a great mobile app, they sound really good and they’re just great all around. I would highly recommend these to somebody who wants the best in ear headphones that they can get, as these easily surpass the AirPods Pro. The only two things I’m not a huge fan of are: 1. The case is a little bit wobbly on the top lid. It’s not a big deal, but other headphone cases feel as if they’re built better. 2. This isn’t an XM4 issue as much of an issue with foam tips in general, but the foam eartips degrade after a few months of use. You can either request Sony to send replacement tips(for free) or you can buy rubber tips to avoid it, but foam tips are better for cancelling noise.

The airpods are overly expensive, when weighing the materials they are made of and the noise cancelling features. I love how my Sony Earbuds feel, they are SCRATCH RESISTANT, don’t fill my ears with pressure while using noise cancellation, come with 3 different size earbuds to fit perfectly into anyone’s ears, and have their own app with an equalizer built in that allows you to make your own custom settings or use the preset ones if you choose. Really feels more like a personal car sound system for the ears. Bass is also pretty great in these too! 10/10, absolutely feel these were worth the price. - got them during black friday

The ambient sound function seems to glitch in loud environments, also gets triggered by whistling, or construction beeping. Probably not the best environment for wearing them, but worth noting. These nitpicks aside, a solid purchase, with no regret in getting them. May need to use the app to set the headphones to full volume, as they have their own volume independent of what phone is set to.
