I purchased these after my Bose Quietcomfort earbuds died. Luckily the Bose were still under warranty so I sent them back to Bose for replacement. I needed something to use on conference calls and to take on the plane while the Bose were being replaced. I tried the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 2 but did not like them at all. I returned them the next day and picked up these. It was like night and day difference. The Sony for me are by far the best sounding and have the best noise cancelling. I just got the my replacement Bose back so will be comparing the two. I plan to keep both the Bose and Sony. I think the Bose have a more refined sound but the Sony just seal in the ear better and for me sound pretty good.

Better than Beats Fit Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Whoa! So I left my Beats Fit Pro in Cali on a trip, perfect excuse to check out some new buds. Loved the Beats, much better than AirPod pros..with one downside, the case is huge! But definitely an upgrade on sound. Enter the Sony WM-1000XM4 (yeah they need a better name). Holy smokes do these sound fantastic! I have the Sony over ear version of these puppies and the sound is just a step below but better than any buds I’ve owned (Bose, apply, Samsung, Jamba etc.) Foam ear tips on these vs silicon on the others but fit is snug. Took them to the golf range and never once worried about them coming out as I worked through the bag. Now if I can just find a way to add an AirTag to the case. A bit pricey, but what isn’t now a days?!

I have a coveragr on them so im going to try to return for warranty . I recommend you get the warranty or else you may be stuck with useless earphone.

Decided to give Sony a chance for my next purchase. Instantly fell in love. The packaging is extremely appealing. You get an amazing matte black wireless charging case with very strong magnetic resting spots. The earbuds feature the newest technology Sony offers including 360 audio. The app is seamless and quick. They adapt to your movement and head positioning with the sound. They are loud! Clear audio deep bass and have an extremely unique sound. They are definitely top 5 on my list. The noise cancellation is strong up there with bose. Great buy. Good job sony

Great, but Mark IV has room for improvement

Sony should allow us to map each control to whatever configuration we like. I also would rather have physical buttons instead of touchpads, as they aren't as reliable as the clicky pushers on my Jabras.

The new XM4 sound great and feel very comfortable, much more comfortable than the XM3. However, charging case needs to be charged more often than the XM3s. It’s worth the extra money to upgrade

Best Wireless Earbuds You Can Buy

I ordered them to try them out, I honestly did not believe I would like them this much. They sound great for what they are, the noise canceling is superb and they fit really well. Perhaps my favorite thing about these is the battery life, I tend to use them for long hours and they have not yet died on me while using them. With other earbuds you'll be lucky if you get 4 hours on a single charge, with these you can get well over 8 hours on just a single charge with ANC. A few things to consider before buying I had really bad ear pain the first few days of wearing them but after the fourth day the pain almost went away. Now, I don't even feel them when I am wearing them. Also, I noticed a bug where sometimes the left earbud will be muted. This happens mostly when I connect to my windows laptop and sometimes when connected to my S21 Ultra. It happens more often when connected to my windows laptop, so that is something you might need to consider. You can work around it by disconnecting and reconnecting to Bluetooth (but that is annoying). Another issue that I noticed is when I have a fan on or my AC is running, you can hear a "woosh" sound when ANC is on. I doesn't happen all the time, in fact, its only noticeable you have something paused but it gets annoying after a while. I have yet to find a fix for this issue. While these earbud do have some issues and are very expensive, they are by far the best true wireless earbuds out there.
