They sound great but just know that the interface for the devices isn't as simple as letting your mobile device hook to them - its a program that has to be installed to get most out of these. BIGGEST COMPLAINT - they are not supported by older ipod touches (version 6 is oldest they'll work with)

But I have to admit the galaxy buds pro are a little better as far as the sound quality and production of bass! The noise cancellation on these headphones are phenomenal. I am an orchestra musician. I walked into a rehearsal with all of the brass section playing at a very loud volume. I had the headphones on ambient sound and I can hear everything. I turned on noise cancellation in it and it blocked out all of the noise. That was amazing. I don’t think the sound quality of these headphones are as good as the galaxy buds pro. But I think the overall quality of these headphones are incredible and I would definitely suggest them!

Its my go to over my Apple Airpods Pro in ear when I listen to music. The mic on them is OK. Its much better than the older XM3's. My only gripe is that it is hard to handle because of my fat fingers. Its a little slippery. It can be a little challenging to get it to switch for one device to another.

The software is what lets these guys down - connections that reset constantly and sometimes you will find the right ear generating a non-stop sound such that you have to remove it and place it back in the case in the hope that it resets itself which is does about a minute later....from a "it just works as it should" it fails miserably. It tries to do too much such as all the GPS capability of remember locations and sound settings so that it can automatically set itself to ambient sound or noise cancelling - its overkill of a feature that was never really a good idea to begin with - who cares about that - either you set it on noise cancelling or you don't....the minimal value is not worth the programming effort (its a Jurassic park feature - they spent so much time wondering if they could - they didnt stop to think if they should and by the time they got it go it was full of bugs....) Do I like them ? Yes. Are they a pain in butt yes ? Are they worth it ? Probably by the next generation - XM5 ? Maybe.

While these had fantastic sound quality, the Bose ear buds ultimately won due to thier better noise cancelling. I did have some minor conectivity issues with these as well. If you want best sound, these cant be beat. If you want better overall noise cancelling, go with the bose.

The right one's battery was faulty and used too much juice and left one stopped working after 3 years. Exchanged them before my replacement warranty expired. They stopped making these and upgraded to a new model

Very impressive and a comfortable fit with soft memory foam like tips. Base is incredible for buds. Mutes when you talk, very nice. I got the silver to match my over-ear headphones. Just top notch stuff all around. Not cheap but worth every penny if quality is your concern. Sony does not disappoint me.

Initially disappointed with noise cancelling until I figured out I needed the large foam ear pieces. (Stays put in the ear, too.) Mid- and high-range sound is crystal clear, you’ll hear things you thought were buried in the mix. I’d give 5 stars for longer battery life, though the little charger case helps a lot.

Really bad bluetooth not even 15 feet without going to static. Returned them fast as i could. Sucks because the sound was amazing. Bad bugs in the app and touch buttons.

I own the Bose QC Earbuds as well, and as much as I love those, the WF-1000MX4's do sound better [overall]. The ANC is amazing (on both). 'Tap' and the world disappears. I have both an iPhone 11 and a Pixel 4a 5G. The MX4'a swap between the two smooth as butter. But, can only be connected to one or the other. No multi-point. iPhone doesn't support Sony's LDAC, and connects using AAC. Android connects right up using LDAC, AAC, or SBC. The one thing I am struggling with is the lack of volume controls from the MX4's, without having to sacrifice other controls (ie. the Track Controls, or Ambient Sound controls). You CAN use Google Assistant to control the Volume though...but your Right Earbud takes a Battery hit of about 15-20% for that connection, and you can't use the earbuds individually. If you can handle memory foam ear-plugs all day. You can handle the MX4's. They are light, and are almost as solid in the ear as the Bose. The MX4's are not as comfortable as the Bose [for me]. Putting them on and taking them off isn't as easy, and the ear tips make my ears itch after a few hours. I can wear the Bose for 5+ hours, quick charge and put them right back in. Both are the best earbuds I have ever owned. Each has a strong point, but so do Ferrari, and Lamborghini. Maybe if I keep the WF-1000MX4's and the Bose QC Earbuds next to each, I'll wake up one morning to a perfect hybrid. Solid 4.5 Stars...

Great sound but poor material selection

Unfortunately, due to the material of the actual ear buds, they're difficult to position in the ear and do not stay in place. Sony opted not to use silicone, which I believe do a better job of staying secure once placed.

Honestly it took me a couple weeks to get used to them but there are so many features packed in these bad boys you can't deny how great they are. The fit plagued me for a couple weeks until I finally settled on the smalls which don't totally plug my ears but they do it about 90% good and it provides the best mix of comfort and performance. I feel like my ears fall into a small-medium as the medium do give me bad ear fatigue. So overall the only negatives I would give it is you need 1-2 weeks to get use to the ear tips and I would like to see maybe 5 sizes instead of 3. I would also like to see the tips be a little more durable, I do already see a small rip in one of my small ear tips.

Had them 90 days and both headphones did not work at all, be sure to get the geek squad warranty! Definitely don't sleep with them in. I'm using LDAC Bluetooth connection with apple music lossless quality and it is pretty amazing.
