The one glaring downside is that after 1 year of constant daily use, the batteries on both buds are absolutely shot. They dont charge to 100% anymore, and they only last 20-30 mins on a "full charge". And the customer support for sony is absolutely horrible.

But these will do until they die. I'm not used to newer rerphones and not all eartips fit in my small ear canals. I ended up buying other eartips. I really like the noise cancelling though. I use that the most.

I had the WF-1000XM3s...and these are definitely aeap forward. The fit could be better, but it isnt nearly as bad as some of the other reviews make it out to be.

So obviously this will provide far better audio than both. I wasn't in the market for new buds until summer hit and I needed to mow and I didn't want over-the-ear headphones in the heat. Very glad I purchased them. They have better active noise cancellation than my over-the-ear Waze headphones. If anything they are too good. (You can adjust how much noise gets through in ambient mode) The application, at least on Android is fantastic. You can tune the audio to suit your preferences. Something that not all wireless apps allow you to do. For the price my expectations were high. Once I tried them and found the correct fit in my ear... They were worth every penny. Love em.

Coming from the WH-1000XM4

More of an over ear headphone guy and been using Sony's WH-1000XM line since it's inception and they never disappointed (minus the headband breaking on the OG MDR-1000X). Wanted something smaller and more manageable while on the move and decided to grab these. Suffice to say I am quite impressed with the sound quality and overall package in such a small and portable form factor. only downsides compared to the WH-1000XM4's which is my daily driver is the ANC isn't as good and the in ear design always amplified the sounds when moving my head/jaw compared the over ears. Still, really like these and will definitely be using them regularly alongside the over ears.

It’s supposed to be noise canceling but I can still hear music in the background. Only comes with foam tips would have been nice if it came with some silicon tips. These are overpriced. I’ll stick with my Sony - WH-1000XM4 that truly block out any noise

This is a very common issue that Sony refuses to address or help with; it's assumed to be a hardware issue. On top of this, the earbuds are some of the least comfortable I've tried. I understand that everybody's ear shape is different and this is my personal experience not shared by many. I also prefer the sound profile of other earbuds to the Sony which do not sound as deep/full. The positive thing I can say is that the noise canceling feature is the best of any earbuds I've tried.
