BEST true wireless earbuds you can buy!

I cannot believe just how awesome SONY bluetooth noise cancelling headphones sound. I use these when I go out for long walks in the city early in the morning and after work. I can take and make calls and people on the other side do not know I am walking through loud traffic in a city environment. The sound is punchy and has enough bass. Rock, Rap, Techno, Alternative, Post-rock, Ambient, Metal music ALL sound terrific on these little buds. Battery life is long and I have never had an issue once with these things going out on me. The only downside to these buds are the foam ear pieces that SONY ship with their in-ear headphones. I use the SpinFit CP100 Plus for IEM (you can pick them up from Amazon and these upgraded medical grade silicone ear tips literally make the WF-1000XM4's perfect. These particular medical grade silicone tips DO NOT TEAR (I'm still on my first pair for over 6 months so these ear tips are for real). They make the XM4s sit in my ears more comfortably. SONYs foam tips never seemed small enough to give a perfect fir for me. Twisting the XM4's into my ears tore 2 pairs of foam tips in 3 months. The COMPLY foam tips are no better. I use the size "super small and they are just perfect! Spend the extra $$$$$ (hey look at the price of the XM4's), and make a great audio experience even BETTER! Don't worry about the audiophiles turning their noses up at these (or their big brother the SONY WH-1000XM4 over the head head phones); going wireless with awesome tone just feels terrific. The SONY headphone app makes customizing the ambient or heavy noise reduction easy for anyone. My headphones even "remember" when I am stepping onto the subway and automatically set to the heaviest noise reduction, and then ease up once I walk out of the station and onto the street. These phones are a must if you want to work out with tunes. You can even use these to get max noise reduction with NO music and go for a meditative walk. How does SONY know to allow in the sound of birds and breeze while virtually eliminating the sound of cars and construction work? Crazy but it just works. It's 2022 and these are the best bluetooth true wireless headphones you can buy. Pro tip: Get the SpinFit CP100 Plus for IEM ear tips and turn them into comfortable audio Perfection. Highly recommended.

I wanted an upgrade from my Samsung Galaxy Pro buds which would fall out after awhile and make my ears itch from the vibration and poor fit. These fit very well, Others have said they are too big, but I disagree. The fit like they are supposed to, firm without movement. The 360 sound that is available on certain music apps (Like Amazon) is AMAZING. It's a concert in your head with melody in one ear and harmony in the other. I absolutely love them. Well worth the price (although I would have liked to pay less).

Good device but mine have problems

The right earbud doesn't last even an hour anymore. For a year the earbuds worked really well. The ANC is still good. I reached out to sony helpdesk, got my earphones reset and still the problem persists. I wonder who can repair it.

With regard to the noise canceling function, we do have steps to help fix your problem.
Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not properly worn on your ears, tap operations or the speech detection of Speak-to-Chat may not be successful, or you may not obtain proper sound qualities, noise canceling effects, or call performances.
If any of this is the case, try the following.
Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different.
The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect.
Check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
When the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app is turned on, the wearer's actions, like walking or running, are detected. The noise canceling function is automatically adjusted and the Ambient Sound Mode may be activated according to these actions.
To make the most of the noise canceling function, turn off the Adaptive Sound Control, and try to turn on the noise canceling function manually when you need it.

If you have smaller ears I would say stay away because they will hurt after about 20 min. I returned them because it had a very distinct metallic ting sound about every 5-10 min like something on the inside was broken.
