I think the airpods pro noise cancelation may be a little better. The 360 audio is incredible. Only the right earbud can be used by itself sadly. The right earbud has the track control and google assistant. The left one controls ambient and noise cancelation. It also has wireless charging.

-Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears.
-The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect.
-Check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
-The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
You can remove either the left or right unit of the headset from the charging case and use the unit by itself. Also, You can change the function assignments to the touch sensors of both the left and right units using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app.

Note: Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

These are currently my favorite after more than a month of use. The sound is exceptional and the ANC quite good. The app itself is the best I've ever used. I had the same problem that many XM4 users cite regarding getting a good seal with the included eartips. I never got a good seal. That is, until I purchased the Spinfit 360 tips. What a difference. Truly, Sony ought to be embarrassed. Anyways if you're on the fence about these earbuds, for me they're great.

I do not recommend using the Noise Canceling function when your wife is trying to tell you how her day went unless you’ve upgraded your doghouse. I did the latter, so I’m good and I didn’t hear a word of anything from her day in the office. These are an absolute must to have for removing daily unwanted noise where you can enjoy music, podcasts while enjoying a nice cigar on the patio. Highly recommended!

Not long lasting

Just 3 months out of the 1 year warranty my right earbud will not charge completely and dies after about 15 min of use. I have gone through all the troubleshooting and It seems I either have to send them in for repairs or just full on replace them. $300 for a little over 14 months use is not worth it not matter the quality of sound. I also was not thrilled with how inconsistent the touch controls were. These buds really have put me on the fence with Sony devices as a whole.

PROS • Comfortable, low-profile fit • Buds don’t jut outside the ears like the XM3s did • Capacitive touch controls responsive but not over-sensitive • Mics for calling and pass-through audio are excellent • Excellent noise cancellation without a lot of "overpressure" sensation • Good enough noise isolation with silicon tips that noise cancelling functions often aren’t needed • Strong bass without being muddy, frequency adjustment via app available • Recharge quickly from case • Longer battery life than the XM3s CONS • Cannot pair more than 1 device at a time • Slow to connect to iOS • Sometimes hoodie material can activate the touch sensors unpredictably (esp when it may be raining) • Wind rejection isn’t great when using pass-through, on a phone call, or using noise cancelling • Included foam tips are not as good at noise isolation as silicon tips • Appreciate the ecologically safe cardboard packaging, but the unboxed pieces don’t easily stay together for storage (I keep packaging in case I need to return item) I really enjoyed my WF-1000XM3s (and still do) for their sound quality, but I hated the form factor. The XM4s fixed the form factor issues beautifully, and retained (or even improved) the audio quality. The bass creates presence without sounding muddy (seriously, the ambient sound in some movie scenes had me pulling out my earbuds to be sure what I heard wasn’t the real thing!). Movies sound VERY good with these buds. My main disappointment with these buds, especially after using Jabras and the Apple varieties: There is no multipair option yet. Once I substituted some silicon tips for these buds, the fit was perfect and noise isolation was idea. I have been very happy with these.
