Music that is streamed at very high quality by Spotify creates an incredible sound. Noise cancelling/ambient sound is adjusted with a tap on the left bud. Stopping or advancing music simply requires a tap or two on the right bud. Due to limitation on the amount of data that can be streamed at any time, more expensive ear buds may provide only diminishing gains. The microphone works very well for telephone calls.

The only complaint i have, which I knew when I bought but didn't think I would need until I did, is the ability to connect them to 2 devices at once. so listening to music on my phone and then connect to a zoom call on my work computer. you have to disconnect from one to connect to the other. I do love the speak to chat function where when you start talking it pauses the music.

They can be paired with multiple devices at the same time, but unlike model WH-1000XM4: they cannot be connected with multiple devices at the same time. Expensive but Worth It

From my limited time using them I have only one issue. 1. Ear fatigue due to the size of the plastic part of the earbuds. Not horrible, but it is noticeable. As far as sound and noise cancellation they are hands down better than air pod pros which I love.

Dead batter after 1.5 years was the killer

They last about 10 mins now, and charging often gets a flashing red indicating "too hot to charge". They sounded good before this but I need a product to last more than this when it costs this much.

Top Tier, lacking in OS

I must admit, I do not have the most experience in the wireless ear bud scene. Although, after previously using Air Pod Pros (1st gen) for about 2 years, I believe the WF-1000XM4’s are much further along the path than Apple. The only complaint is that the Sony Headphone app OS is trash. It’s not user friendly, and quite frankly is a huge flaw for all of their products. Additionally, the connectivity does often cut out which can be prevented through an option within the settings. Aside from that, these are top of the line wireless ear buds at a fraction of the cost that B&W or Harman Kardon are.

Fit was great too but I ended up buying different tips that were a tad more comfortable for my ears (silicon tips that were halfway in size between the medium and large Sony tips). Size is perfect for both the buds themselves as well as the case. I did run into an issue when watching a movie on my iPad where noise cancelling wouldn't stay on but that was limited to the app I was using.
