As for the sound level, please make sure that the software is updated. You can check and update the software by launching Sony Headphones Connect app. You can also make few adjustments to your headphones settings to suit your needs through the Sony Headphones Connect app. It has an Equalizer setting which can be customized to fine-tune your music. This will give you more control over your headphones and their performance.

You may also be experiencing a symptom called listener fatigue. That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue. We do have recommendations with regards to this issue.

Finally, great earbuds!

I was always buying the earbuds that were around $100, and I could not get them to fit right or sound right. I did not like the foam tips, and thought the sound was escaping. I replaced them with standard tips, and they are perfect. Sometimes the juice is really worth the squeeze. Money well spent.

For a middle-aged guy, I didn't really find these to be the most intuitive to use at first, but after going to the tutorials it has become natural. Still could be better on a clearer power-off (when not in use, and not back in the case) and for volume control. Good value.

Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears. We have a recommended way of wearing these earbud headphones to reduce discomfort. If you feel earbud tips are difficult to put into your ears, change the size of earbud tips or squeeze earbud tips lightly before wearing the headset.
The Noise Isolation Earbud Tips (for the WF-1000XM4 headphones) will adjust their shape to fit in your ears. Wait for about 10 seconds for the earbud tip shape to stabilize, and then check that they fit firmly in your ears and if the noise canceling effect is sufficient.

Amazing earbuds for mobile devices

One downside is that the software on this on windows 10 is inadequate, the sound quality once connected is poor unless you enable Dolby atmos. On top of that, a microphone isn't even detected on my windows device and audio often cuts out when watching videos or shows online. Would 100% recommend if main use is for mobile but would not recommend for PC use.

These earbuds are for the ANC, and great sound. The instrument seperation and sound stage is pretty good. If your on Android definitely use LDAC , it helps the instrument seperation greatly. I can hear things ive never noticed in songs I've listen to 100 time.

These headphones comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes. As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones, try to use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience.

Not just the sound but noise cancelation has a bit difference then the headphones. Painstaking quality

Full stop. The fact that the Sony Connect app allows an equalizer to interact with them is just icing on the cake. The WF-1000XM4 crumbles in practically every other category. These are not fit-and-forget earbuds where you put them on one moment and in another, you forget they're on. You are constantly reminded of them, either from the anxiety of the seal coming loose from you talking to someone or eating something causing your facial muscles to slightly unseat the buds from your ear. Or you're reminded of them from the 20 minutes you've had them on and they start causing discomfort or outright pain to your ears. In both cases, your second job will be repositioning these things relentlessly. The struggle of these buds is the constant need to achieve that much required seal in your ear. If you don't get the seal, the sound quality doesn't matter, nor does the active noise cancelling because you're leaking too much environmental noise. Unlike the AirPods Pro, you can't just plop these in your ears. Every session with these begins with the process of "screwing" them into your ears. First you think you got them in correctly, but nope, you hear too much of your surroundings for that to be the case. Then you you try to "screw" them in deeper. You find that's a little better but it's not a total seal. So you push it against your ear and you've finally acquired a grip on the buds. Little do you realize, this is just a fight of attrition until someone comes to talk to you and now that you're moving your face, all that work you did to get the buds in your ears has been for nothing. What I've experienced with the WF-1000XM4, in the moments where I had good seal on them, were great. Up there with Bose in the ANC. Better battery life than the AirPods Pro. Really though, none of this means much if one is incapable of keeping them in their ears.
