Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience using our WF-1000XM4 True Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones. We are sorry to hear about the low volume level and sound cuts out while playing music on my earbud headphones. Your feedback about the low sound level is greatly appreciated. The earbud headphones use left and right simultaneous Bluetooth transmission method. This means the Bluetooth connection stability is improved compared to more conventional headphones. However, intermittent audio, or no audio may occur under the following situations:
• In a location where the Wi-Fi signal is inconsistent, such as on a train, an airport, or rail station
• When using in an environment with a congested Wi-Fi signal, near to other wireless audio devices using Wi-Fi, microwaves, phones.
For this, set the Sound quality mode to Priority on stable connection. You can adjust the volume of the headphones and the connected device according to your preference. You may also play different song with different quality to further isolate the issue. High-quality songs will give you louder audio. We also recommended updating the firmware of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance.
We regret to know the headphones had to be returned. We hope you will consider Sony again in a future purchase. Thanks again for the feedback.

Form factor improves on the previous generation. However tis comes with a decrease in case battery life. Headphones have slightly decreased range, but still provide a decent distance of connectivity. Another update came, and now the battery doesnt last that long and thats really frustrating.

They are amazing. Noise cacellation at its finest. Feels like youre wearing earmuffs. They quality of the sound is un-comparable as well. I have never had headphones/earphones of this quality.. Definitely worth the original price at $280.00

Unfortunately they disappeared, so I bought this pair. This new pair's noise cancelling is no where near as good - I honestly don't notice much difference between the noise cancelling and ambient sound settings. I don't know if Sony changed something or I got a defective pair. I am going to exchange this and try another. Other than the noise cancelling on this pair, I love the sound - excellent. I wish the fit was a little better for keeping them in my ears for activities. No problems when I am sitting, but they can pop out once in a while when I take them for a run.

Different sizes of earbud tips are supplied so that you can achieve the maximum effects of the earbuds. Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. To keep the headphones from falling out, please select the right size earbud tips. We also recommend wearing the earbuds properly.
Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

Birthday Ear pods for Son

I did know that he used a "non-iPhone", and - while there were a few that were designed specifically for certain Android-based features and apps - I felt that he might benefit from having a model with more diverse features than "specific compatibility" (and I knew he wouldn't be able to truly appreciate all the other great attributes, if they were designed primarily for AOS platform). I went to my "local" Best Buy, and received outstanding guidance from the Team member assisting me! He quickly helped me narrow down, and ultimately landed on this Sony pair (one of my "short list" candidates before coming to the store). I was also extremely pleased that there was in-store availability of each of the models I was considering (often not the case with many other retailers...), which made the experience even better! My son confirmed that the earphones have truly been "all that" and more: sound quality, noise canceling capability, adaptability, ease of use/operation (and access to features), and tremendous functionality; all things considered, and couldn't be more pleased! That makes it a worthwhile purchase with great value to me...!
