I’m a Truck driver I love the noise cancellation when in the warehouse yard and the ambient mode to hear the surrounding sounds while in traffic or at points of delivery dealing with customers. Had the Raycon work buds and these are similar but have a better hold in my ears lost one of the buds while unloading which I why I gave these a shot. Not overpowering loud but more than enough to zone out to my music or clearly listen to my QCode immersive story’s

Buds sag down a bit and press on hard part of ear. Battery life: Have been able to get 3 hrs with buds down to 80% left, so probably could get 8 hrs. App: Easy to use and granular control

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This headset is a high quality pair, they have a few short comings, one is the comparison to the samsung buds pro 2, sound quality is so comparable that you won't notice a difference, yet the samsung buds pro 2 are less expensive and the touch controls work identically on both buds, where the Sony pair has restricted options that make the right the dominate ear bud. The other undesirable aspect of the Sony set, is that they do not fit my ear well due to how large they are. I had to return them within 30 days after the right ear bud agitated my ear to the point it caused a sore.

It would not let me play one, while the other was in the charger. I finally had to reset them and it started to work. Still trying to figure out the ear pieces, and which one will work best for me. Wish they had a little more volume.

The WF-1000XM4 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones, try to use the right size according to the size of your ears. The noise canceling is especially good. The only knock is that my ear channels are on the smaller side meaning that if i don’t make special effort to put thwm in securly they can wiggle out. That aside they are great earbuds which is why i bought them a second time.

Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. To keep the headphones from falling out, please select the right size earbud tips. We also recommend wearing the earbuds properly.
Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

Ive been told it sounds like im talking in a cone. I gave three stars for sound quality on music. I would probably put this top of sound and definitely number 1 in noise cancellation. It is pricier than most. AirPod pro honesty fills everything but battery life. I found the beats fit pro the best ergonomics and on par sound wise with airpod pro but the quality is poor and the winglets do not last. You won’t get quality issues with airpod or the Sony. I routinely use more than 1 set in any given day. If not for poor battery life of airpod pro, I wouldn’t need a second pair. This is bulky but has unmatched sound. You basically weigh your trade offs and decide what is right for you. The ergonomics of Apple can’t be beat. They fit the best and you can definitely wear the longest if the battery lasted longer. But the Sony truly does have a step above sound. Maybe I just need to wear it more and longer to not get stuck on the bulkiness.

Apple Air Pods are MUCH better

Use a single bud at work with a custom fitted earplug in the other ear. When ANC is active, earbuds are actually quieter than my professional earplugs. Very good call quality in noisy environments. Decent range-to-phone on the connectivity; I can wander off quite a ways from source, enter rooms, go around corners, etc and still stay connected, even with one earbud. Work 12 hour shifts, rarely have to charge during that time, especially if I am just using the ANC. Great upgrade from the XM3s
