First the ear tips are made foam that will rip after a month. Wish they would of used plastic ear tips instead. Second the ear tips make the inside of the my ear very itchy the more I turn up the volume. I can’t really enjoy my music comfortably. Not really worth the price.

The earbuds may not work as designed if they are not worn properly, or the size of the earbud tips doesn't match the size of your ear canals. Different sizes of earbud tips are supplied so that you can achieve the maximum effects of the earbuds. I’ve owned several pairs of “true” wireless earbuds (Samsung, Jabra, Apple) and these are by far my favorite. I even like the design. The look great and sound even better. The noise cancellation is very impressive. Almost as good as the over ear headphones Sony makes. Maybe even just as good. The battery life is on par with other high end earbuds and the wireless charging comes in handy. The app is great and so is connectivity, even on iPhones. The LED light is a nice touch too. I had to take off 2 stars for the build quality of the case though. It’s really bad. The feel unbelievably cheap. The case feels hollow and probably could have been a bit smaller making it more dense giving it a better in hand feel. The plastic feels like the same recycled materials the box came in. I’m not sure if it’s made out of recycled plastic or not, but it feels cheap. The lid rattles and shakes back and forth. The hinge is just bad and too small. I’m really worried about it breaking in the future just from pulling it in and out of my pocket. I don’t think I’d purchase them again or recommend them. For just over $300 after taxes I expected better build quality.

Manufacturers warranty last 1 year headphones stopped holding a charge 1 year and 2 months after purchase. The left headphone goes from fully charged to dead on 30 minutes. I would not buy again and probably will avoid all sony headphones going forward.

Unfortunately, the fit just didn't work for me regardless of the size tips I tried. Also tried some third-party tips that didn't resolve the feeling that the buds were always feeling like they would fall out at any time.

Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. To keep the headphones from falling out, after selecting the right size earbud tips, we also recommend wearing the earbuds properly.
Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

Terrible outgoing call quality. My first set died in under a year and was replaced by Sony no problem. That set has now died under a year with the right earbud not holding a charge for more than 20 minutes. Overall, pretty unimpressed by the lasting quality of these earbuds given the cost.

I purchased these after my Bose Quietcomfort earbuds died. Luckily the Bose were still under warranty so I sent them back to Bose for replacement. I needed something to use on conference calls and to take on the plane while the Bose were being replaced. I tried the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 2 but did not like them at all. I returned them the next day and picked up these. It was like night and day difference. The Sony for me are by far the best sounding and have the best noise cancelling. I just got the my replacement Bose back so will be comparing the two. I plan to keep both the Bose and Sony. I think the Bose have a more refined sound but the Sony just seal in the ear better and for me sound pretty good.

I uses on the plane all the time and I do enjoy a it switching back and forth between noise cancellation and regular noise. The only grief I have about the ear pieces are that they can get uncomfortable for more than 3 hours of usage.

Will not be buying Sony again

Unfortunately mine stopped holding battery for more than 2 minutes after only 16months. In addition, the return process has not been simple. I sent them to be exchanged 20 days ago and now i receive and update stating there’s no earbuds in the main warehouse so they will have to use a third party.

Better than Beats Fit Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Whoa! So I left my Beats Fit Pro in Cali on a trip, perfect excuse to check out some new buds. Loved the Beats, much better than AirPod pros..with one downside, the case is huge! But definitely an upgrade on sound. Enter the Sony WM-1000XM4 (yeah they need a better name). Holy smokes do these sound fantastic! I have the Sony over ear version of these puppies and the sound is just a step below but better than any buds I’ve owned (Bose, apply, Samsung, Jamba etc.) Foam ear tips on these vs silicon on the others but fit is snug. Took them to the golf range and never once worried about them coming out as I worked through the bag. Now if I can just find a way to add an AirTag to the case. A bit pricey, but what isn’t now a days?!

Great, but Mark IV has room for improvement

Sony should allow us to map each control to whatever configuration we like. I also would rather have physical buttons instead of touchpads, as they aren't as reliable as the clicky pushers on my Jabras.
