I wanted to love these so bad but the battery has problems. The noise cancelling is wonderful, but I cant even use mine now since I get 5 mins of battery max.

This made them world better to wear without any ear fatigue. However about 2 months ago the right ear but just started dying within about 20 minutes. If you read online forms you'll find this is a common issue with these earbuds. I've done all the reset / restarts etc and nothing works. If you do make the choice to purchase these get the warranty it's not worth the hassle to have to deal with Sony

If you have smaller ears I would say stay away because they will hurt after about 20 min. I returned them because it had a very distinct metallic ting sound about every 5-10 min like something on the inside was broken.

I think the airpods pro noise cancelation may be a little better. The 360 audio is incredible. Only the right earbud can be used by itself sadly. The right earbud has the track control and google assistant. The left one controls ambient and noise cancelation. It also has wireless charging.

-Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears.
-The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect.
-Check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
-The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
You can remove either the left or right unit of the headset from the charging case and use the unit by itself. Also, You can change the function assignments to the touch sensors of both the left and right units using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app.

The ear detection is below average, the noise cancelling goes in and out, and the battery isn’t that good. I have Wireless Powerbeats and they’re light years ahead of these. Save your money.

With regard to the noise canceling function, we do have steps to help fix your problem.
Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not properly worn on your ears, tap operations or the speech detection of Speak-to-Chat may not be successful, or you may not obtain proper sound qualities, noise canceling effects, or call performances.
If any of this is the case, try the following.
Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different.
The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect.
Check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
When the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app is turned on, the wearer's actions, like walking or running, are detected. The noise canceling function is automatically adjusted and the Ambient Sound Mode may be activated according to these actions.
To make the most of the noise canceling function, turn off the Adaptive Sound Control, and try to turn on the noise canceling function manually when you need it.

She was very excited to get them, well the unfortunate part is they are way way too big for a smaller person. I don't see anyone mentioning this anywhere either. But be warned this will not fit in your average ear. Even with small buds these need to sit pretty far into your ears to seat properly. Plus sound quality isn't great. The only reason for these are for noise cancelling and ear plugs are a lot cheaper.

Note: Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.
