The sound quality is excellent. The noise canceling works as they describe in all of their literature. Some people expect them to block all outside noise. I do not think there is any device short of a quite room that will do that. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a quality pair of headphones.

In my opinion, the comfort is slightly below that of the QCii's, but the ANC is better. Sound quality a little bass-heavy, but I was able to get great sound via the Sony app/EQ. And to be honest, the more I listen without the EQ enabled, the more I like them. I had originally purchased the Bose, then the Sony's, for when I needed noise cancellation, but I like the XM3s so much that I find myself reaching for them regardless of my ANC needs. They do get a little hot when moving around, but I notice the same with other closed headphones.

Best Noise Cancelling Headphones!

Just by touching the side you can hear disable the noise cancel for quick hearing and responses! If you want something of real high class quality these are what you are looking for!

There is a lot to like but there is just too much thick congestion in the lower midrange and bass for me. I know some people like the extra bass but these lack the clarity and midrange purity of the originals. Returned these and am waiting for a revised sound signature - which even the new M4 versions don't have.

With daycare also closed, there is no peace and quiet in my home. I put these on anytime I need to focus to get work done, as well as when I'm in calls/meetings. The noise canceling works great to block out background noise. The only feature I wish was different: to turn on the noise canceling, you need to push a button that doesn't always seem responsive. Previous headphones I've owned had a switch to turn noise canceling on/off, which was slightly easier. Overall, great headphones.

It can be frustrating when trying to adjust the volume because it doesn’t always register the slide of the finger. Ambient sound mode is great because what I’m listening to is still loud but if I need to be aware of my surroundings I can be. Love that the case is built well also
