The sound quality is also great and they have a nice all aound quality versus some brands that focus purely on heavy bass. The only downside to it all is the app Sony makes to control and play with them. It is not great for setup and the available alternative modes all sound pretty mediocre.

Great Noise Canceling Headphones!

Our son is on the Autism Spectrum and has difficulty with certain noises--including plane engines. While we were flying, he was able to block out most of the noise with these headphones, so his anxiety subsided and allowed him to fly peacefully. They have great sound in addition to the noise canceling ability.

The best noise cancelling headphones on the market

Audio quality is way above average but less then some non-wireless headphones. On the bad side, they lose the bluetooth microphone connection to my laptop but never to my phone. Also, it comes with a 3 wire stereo audio cable. I was told by Sony that I could plug in a 4 wire stereo plus microphone cable and they were wrong, If your phone has a microphone/headphone plug you cannot use it with these headphones. They can be used as wired headphones but the microphone will not work.

Definitely the best noise cancellation I've ever experienced. You can listen to tunes at a comfortable volume and hardly even hear the ride on mower blaring right below you.

The uninitiated think that Bose is the leader in noise cancelling--probably the same guys who think a 4-cylendar BMW is fast because it is a BMW. The ability to optimize the Sony's at any time to adjust to any outside noise is really great. The interface is easy to sue and the sound quality is top notch. Very much worth the price.

Sony’s products are awesome along with the set ups and apps and scan codes etc. the others are not like this at all. I bought to compare. Sony rules. The carry case is great nice classy not cheap either others cheap. My other ones are smelly like plastic and paint not theses. Worth every penny!!!!!!!!!

Throwing these on will drown out almost any sound, perfect for long editing sessions or long rides. The case it comes with is a little on the bulky side though. Oh and on the right ear cup if you put your hand over it the headphones will amplify people talking to you, so you don’t have to take them off to hear them.

She loves them. I had read reviews and had a great online chats with a BestBuy rep who said he actually had them. Set up was apparently easy, sound and noise-canceling awesome. Haven’t had the opportunity to test the battery life. Overall, an 18 year old recommends them...

There were lots of crying babies on the 9hr and 6hr flights and I barely noticed. I also tried on many types that were too heavy for me, these are bulky but not too big. Syncs well and you can use the cord too like normal headphones and it comes with an adapter for the airplane jack too.
