These knock out just about all the background noise and I have been scared multiple times when my wife taps me on the shoulder while working because I didn't hear her coming. Initially I could still hear a bit of background noise, but it pretty much removes all noise if you play a bit of white noise (white noise black screen on youtube) and you'll be in a bubble. I read a few times that these won't connect to multiple devices, just want to clarify it does connect to multiple devices and remember devices that are paired. It just doesn't connect to multiple devices at the same time. The other complaint I saw was that they wouldn't connect to a Windows 10 computer. These connected to my computer without issue, just have to make sure to disconnect it from my phone first.

Specially like the one hand over the right side ear cup to listen to someone talk to you without removing entire head set. Then music goes back to exactly where you left off. The sound quality us amazing and the noise cancelling isn't 100% but it is really close to it. It sounds better at mid volume just not at max volume cause the bass dips a bit. Otherwise it's an overall amazing headset.

They are fantastic at canceling out noise. They also have very high audio quality. The touch gestures take a bit to get used to. Really good headphones when the weather is right

It’ll start buggin out at times but when it’s above that it works really well. You won’t be able to hear anything on the train unless you put your hand over your right ear. I definitely recommend this for your train commute or any kind of travel for that matter. It also comes with an adapter for the special airplane jack if you’re a frequent flyer this is perfect.

The noise canceling is very powerful and I’m often surprised by people coming to my desk. You will want to get a different charging cable as the one it comes with is only a few inches long.

They do not get super loud and you might think that’s not a benefit, however the volume never gets muddy and stays clear and balanced the whole time, hopefully the last pair of headphones I’ll ever need. I was in the market for new ones after my previous ones I had for 7 years finally crashed on me. I researched and these continued to pop up in all reviews. The noise cancelling and the adaptive sound features are flawless. My only issue with them is having to go back and forth between different devices to connect. Apparently the new ones will solve that issue.

Best sound ever, but bulky look

Best buy's gig squad said it was not worth the repair. I could have bought Bose or something else, but the M3s are just great. They look a little funny because they're kind of bulky.

Great sound, connectivity, superior noise cancelling, etc. reason for 4 stars? Super warm earpads!! Cannot wear for more than 30 mins ears get sweaty. Sony, whats the use of all those features if you cant even wear these for longer than 30 mins?. Other than this it really beats the bose in every category. Still cannot recommend. Wait for xm 4’s.
