Without a doubt the most comfortable and best noise canceling headphones I’ve ever used. I have used these almost all day at work, in an office, in a manufacturing environment. Typically I have to turn the music up loud on my wired ear buds to drown out the rattle of the conveyor belts in the background. With the noise canceling on, music off, I can barely make out any sounds at all wearing the Sony WH-1000XM3’s. Pros: -Amazing noise canceling. There is a dedicated physical button that allows you to switch between noise canceling, ambient noise, and noise canceling off. The ambient noise allows some sounds through. It seems like the louder the sound it, the more likely it is to be passed through to the headphones. With it off, sounds are still a bit muffled. -Sound is crisp and customizable. You take for granted how outside noises can affect the clarity and crispness of what you’re listening to. I’ve used the app that can be downloaded for free from the app store to increase the bass and customize the headphones to my personal use. The app is pretty easy to use and makes connecting the headphones and registering them pretty painless. -All day comfort. I sported these on and off all day at the office, wearing them about 80% of the time during my 8 ½ hour day. No fatigue on the ears or the crown of the head, where others tend to bother me. -30 Hour Battery. Rated for 30 hours of noise canceling use. I find it hard not to charge them just out of habit. They haven’t *needed* a charging since I’ve had them. -Very nice carrying case. The case comes with a audio to audio cable (one end is at a 90 degree). Also included is a very short USB A to USB C charging cable, as well as an airplane adapter (has the two audio plugs side by side). The headphones fold to fit in the case and the quality feels premium. -Light weight and stylish. With the battery life being phenomenal, you would expect a hefty battery and a large enclosure. That’s not the case. These are light weight and slim enough that you don’t look like you’re directing air traffic. -Touch Controls Keep the Design Looking Sleek. I’ll admit, I skipped the literature, so it took me a minute to figure out the touch controls. Sliding from the middle out will activate whichever function you’re trying to achieve. Double tapping the center pauses/plays. Double tap and hold will activate smart assistant if you’re connected to a smart phone. -Holding your hand over the muff to “Listen” is amazing. I use this feature quite often since I have office mates. It seems like the microphones normally used to help with noise canceling will pass on the ambient noise. This is extremely useful if you need to listen to a quick announcement or need to ask or answer a quick question. Cons: -Ridiculously short charging cable. The charge cable is about 3” in length. There is no convenient way to connect these to any laptop or wall plug without it hanging or being in the way. I just use a longer one that I use for my switch. Other Thoughts: -I wish the controls could be customized. I feel a bit silly putting my hand on the earmuff to allow sound to pass through. Would be nice if you had the option that when you pause the music, sound automatically passed through. -I would like to be able to tap the noise canceling button to turn on or off. I haven’t found the ambient noise setting to allow enough sound through to be useful. Simply on or off would be more beneficial to me. Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for the best noise canceling headphones, these are probably contending for the #1 spot. You’re getting top notch noise canceling, customizable sound, all day comfort without having to charge, all the while looking stylish. You get what you pay for with these headphones.

long story short: this headphones are phenomenal! i gifted this to my friend and all he does is rave about it. feels comfortable and perfect for wanting to block out sounds. but i think theres a feature to not block out the background sounds. anyway 10/10 recommend!

In preparation for 4 of us working from home during the school year, we were looking for good noise cancelling headphones for everyone. These knock out just about all the background noise and I have been scared multiple times when my wife taps me on the shoulder while working because I didn't hear her coming. Initially I could still hear a bit of background noise, but it pretty much removes all noise if you play a bit of white noise (white noise black screen on youtube) and you'll be in a bubble. I read a few times that these won't connect to multiple devices, just want to clarify it does connect to multiple devices and remember devices that are paired. It just doesn't connect to multiple devices at the same time. The other complaint I saw was that they wouldn't connect to a Windows 10 computer. These connected to my computer without issue, just have to make sure to disconnect it from my phone first.

Very very good noise canceling & great for listening to your music. Specially like the one hand over the right side ear cup to listen to someone talk to you without removing entire head set. Then music goes back to exactly where you left off. Would highly recommend these

The sound quality is amazing, but expected from Sony. What is the most impressive is the noise canceling quality. Simply amazing. Im constantly flying and that improve my travel days to a 100%. Much easy to rest my head from all the noise. Nothing can beat this. if you can pay, thats the one.

These really are some of the best headphones I've ever had. The sound quality us amazing and the noise cancelling isn't 100% but it is really close to it. It sounds better at mid volume just not at max volume cause the bass dips a bit. Otherwise it's an overall amazing headset.

The sound quality is great and the noise canceling is good for canceling out the air plane noise. It’s fast and easy to override the canceling feature so announcements can be heard. I like the case that came with the headphones. It’s easy to use and keeps them safe and easy to store.

These are some great headphones. They are fantastic at canceling out noise. They also have very high audio quality. The touch gestures take a bit to get used to. They also have smart features such as the headphones realizing you started a walk and allowing ambient noise for safety.

These headphone are top of the line in regards to quality. I was in the market for new ones after my previous ones I had for 7 years finally crashed on me. I researched and these continued to pop up in all reviews. The noise cancelling and the adaptive sound features are flawless. My only issue with them is having to go back and forth between different devices to connect. Apparently the new ones will solve that issue.

While the difference in any single aspect between these and the xm2's isn't that great, the xm3 manages to be the rare sequel that's superior in every single aspect. Those little things add up. The most significant difference is comfort, much more pleasant to wear these for several hours.

Honestly one of the best quality headphones I ever used. The noise canceling is amazing and the sound stage is near perfect. With the Sony app to adjust lows, mids, and highs its truly an amazing product. I do not think the item is overpriced or underpriced I think it is a great buy.

I had a pair of M2s before but my sister's dog found them and he chewed up the foam. Best buy's gig squad said it was not worth the repair. I could have bought Bose or something else, but the M3s are just great. They look a little funny because they're kind of bulky.

I don't think I would have ever purchased such nice headphones for myself, but I'm very glad that my family thought that I needed a pair. The sound quality is very nice with the noise cancelling option giving it that extra bonus. You won't regret this purchase.

Apparently the headphones start to malfunction when the weather gets really bad as in cold under 16 degrees. It’ll start buggin out at times but when it’s above that it works really well. You won’t be able to hear anything on the train unless you put your hand over your right ear. I definitely recommend this for your train commute or any kind of travel for that matter. It also comes with an adapter for the special airplane jack if you’re a frequent flyer this is perfect.

I tried many different headphone models for both comfort and performance and I kept coming back to the Sony. The noise canceling is very powerful and I’m often surprised by people coming to my desk. You will want to get a different charging cable as the one it comes with is only a few inches long.

I've been using these head phones for quite some time now and they have amazing sound experience. It might be a little expensive but if you are more inclined to using head phones for music and movies, this is the perfect choice for you especially with the noise cancelling option

If you are serious about wanting sound quality look no further than these. They do not get super loud and you might think that’s not a benefit, however the volume never gets muddy and stays clear and balanced the whole time, hopefully the last pair of headphones I’ll ever need. Two thumbs up!!!

Ambient sound, and noise cancellation settings really nice. I use noise canceling when working out and need to zone in. I use ambient setting when taking a walk/power walk. Love it, I can hear cars coming (safety 1st). Actually just bought one for my wife too.

two gripes - 1. Cannot connect to 2 sources and play audio and accept calls on both unlike Bose QC35 - which I didn't really feel the need for until I started working from home and needed to accept calls on both my phone and laptop. 2. Ear cushions not available for purchase if you damage them. Noise cancellation is great, sound quality is good too. Slightly heavy so you feel the weight if you wear for long hrs.
