However, the microphone sucks. It's also a pain to switch between devices. These are the areas where Sony really needs to improve / catch up Bose.

With advanced noise canceling technology such as Adaptive Sound Control and the convenience of smart features including Quick Attention, Voice Assistant compatibility and touch control, we designed these headphones so you can block out noise and experience next-level silence. You may also use the the Sony | Headphones Connect app to customize your listening experience. Features include an equalizer to adjust sound levels, and Adaptive Sound Control, which automatically adjusts ambient sound settings to suit the situation.
These headphones will automatically pair to the last device they were connected to. An easy fix to your device change is to turn the Bluetooth off on the device you do not want to use, then turn on the headphones. They will then pair to the other device automatically.

I got the 900's for about half the price of the 1000's, and would recommend the 900's for better value by far. Unfortunately, both have touch controls on the ear cup (I'd prefer buttons).

Not a huge amount better but overall just better in all areas. The case is nice and light weight. I really like these headphones

These are arguably better anyway, but on sale it's frankly a steal of a deal. Having an equalizer on the app is something bose should do as well.

They are superb, equal to if not better than their rivals while also being less expensive. The sound is clear with a good amount of base without sounding muddy. One of the major issues I've always had with headphones is fit. I'm 6' 3" with a massive head, my wife is 5' 2" with a small head, these both fit us equally as well. The only dig I would give them is a somewhat awkward layout of the carrying case (which you'll get used to after a month or so). I will say it was done on purpose with the goal of making the case as small as possible.
