good: - sound quality - Ultimately the single most important criteria for most people when shopping for headphones I would imagine. The sound signature for the 3rd version of these isn’t substantially different from previous ones, but to my ear sounds more refined. Vocals (and mids in general) are a bit more balanced and cleaner than previous versions, which were already pretty good to start with (if nowhere near neutral). While they may not compete with “audiophile” headphones, these are the best i’ve heard in the ANC category, hands down. - noise cancelling - I haven’t used these on a plane just yet, but so far i have been quite impressed with not only the ANC but the ambient modes as well. Basically you get more control over what you want and don’t want to hear. For some, this may not be all that important, but for others it may be game changing. The feature most important for me in this area is still the “quick pause” of music and ANC, by holding your right hand over the cup. I absolutely love this feature, especially for catching that announcement at the airport or a quick interjection from someone. - design - These are slimmer and fit closer to the head than earlier models. They also swapped out the textured surface for a smooth finish, which helps in the accuracy of the swipe control motions. Same solid build quality as earlier models as well. - comfort - Previous versions were already comfortable, but these have actually surpassed Bose as winners in that area for me. Lighter, better padding on the top of the head, and bigger / softer ear cushions than the second version. - battery - Substantially improved battery life, rated at 30 hours. Nothing else in this class comes close to it. Over a few days of my testing, I've not even hit 50% battery remaining yet. - case - Nice hard case included, along with USB C cable, analog cable, and airplane adapter. - USB C charging. - Multiple microphones for better call quality. bad: - no multi device pairing overall: The only downside for these to me is the single device limitation when pairing. Bose still has Sony beat here, where you can say, pair your phone and your laptop, making it really fast and easy to switch back and forth. Aside from that small detraction, these are an easy 5 stars for me. Excellent sound quality, comfort, ANC, and feature set.

I have an extremely noisy terrace and this blocks 90% of the noise of children's screams and loud restaurant ventilator with just blue tooth noise cancelling. I can enjoy music 100%

Perfect headphones for travel. Great headphones for canceling outside noise especially on a plane. I like they fold and fit in a travel case that fits in carry on bag.

Wore these headphones on a trip to Belgium and they truly are noise cancelling. I didn’t hear the crying baby or loud travelers behind me. I only heard my movie. It was great!!

Have used these a few times now and they have worked very well. I only use them to listen to music and movies, not for phone calls. Great fit, easy to use, nice carrying case.

Great stuff. Great sound. You put the headphones on and the sound you hear sounds like audio that's good. And at the end of the day that's really what you want.

I travel internationally and quality noise canceling headphones are a must. These fit the bill perfectly. The added bonus is that they’re great around the home and office as well.

These headphones are really great during flights. They are great at cancelling noise so you can hear what you want to instead of hearing everything else around you.

I tried both these and the Bose Quiete Comfort II. The Bose don’t even come close to the sound quality. Both are equal on noise cancellation but the sound quality on these are far superior!

I bought the Sony Headphone about a month ago. I used it in the flight for the first time and it worked great with excellent sound. The price is kind of high, but would recommend it.

They keep the outside noise to a minimum and the sound quality is excellant. You need to use the cable that come with it to charge the headset. Also I had some difficulty using its controls

I typically just buy BOSE - they've always served me well. These headphones are as good - or even better - than the Bose at a slightly higher price point.

Noise canceling is second to none. Sound quality is very good, but not for bass heads. Sound is really well balanced. The app is very useful and well designed. I love the swipe controls.
