Main criticism is that it does not connect to multiple devices smoothly. Sometimes I have to unpair/repair when trying ro connect with different Bluetooth devices. This definitely makes a long airplane ride more pleasant.

Fit over the ears comfortably and no sweating around the muffs. My only problem is technology challenged person that I am have a hard time with the instructions. I’m sure I’ll find a instructional video somewhere on the internet. I do like the nice case that comes with it.

I compared with Bose QC 35 II (also fairly old) it was a fair comparison between the two. I know what sizzle sounds like in a good audio setup from my old PPI amps and JL audio paired with Focal component speaker sets. Neither the Bose or the Sony match that kind of audio fire but between the two the old Bose QC 35 II sounds more true little more bright tad less emphasis on "muddy" bass very even/flat. These Sony's are a very 1 device at a time setup the Bose does a better job at switching between devices but also is not perfect. I use Bose QC35 II for TV Jabra 75T for walks and Bose AE2's for desktop pc with a proper amp they are nice. As far as Tech and "cool factor" Sony has bose beat to a younger crowd. I recommend these headphones to someone who has never heard better and wants to experience today's "high tech" option.

Good headphone set, but not for me

I heard great things about the Sony xm3 and I'm going on an international trip soon. I do like the headphones, but in got the nuraphone and skullcrusher wireless, and I liked them better. I am bass head, and the Xm3's did not tickle my fancy.

The base seemed muddy. I returned them. In spite of my concerns, I recommend them because perception of sound quality is subjective.
