Lacks in the bass

The quality of sound is good bit no where near the best. It's a little flat sounding to me and they tried to get the bass but fell short for me. I ended up exchanging these for the Bang & Olufsen H9i.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Feels light to wear and more battery life than the latest competing Bose headphones, 30hrs to be exact vs. 25hrs. Best feature on this is the ambient sound and adaptive controls. They don't advertise this but they have an app that pairs with Sony headphones. On this particular model, you can actually customize 20 "levels" of noise cancellation, similar to the marketed Bose ones. The app also has a feature where you can control audio preferences such as bass boost, treble, etc. Perfect for studying and concentration. I personally wouldn't work out in these however. These are too nice of a quality to get dirty.

Beware, behaves weirdly in the cold

Personally though, in winter, wearing a hat, the original mk1 does a better job noise cancelling than this pair, but that could be me. Talking about winter, I am on my second pair. The first one will just stop working all together after a while. Thinking I got a broken pair, exchanged them. This new one however will pause or skip music or all together stop working all on its own. Didn't happen when I am on the train, but did when am outside, so, conclusion, it must be the cold. And it's not just me, do a search for the phones and cold and find out yourself. And no, I had the mk1 for 2 years and never had that issue, so, it must be the mk3's. Until Sony fixes the issue, going to return mine and will not be recommending this to anyone.
