The design does not result in good voice recognition as the microphone is on the outside of the earpiece.

Sound quality is great at all levels. Music clear with really good clarity. The functions are cool too - how you can hold your right hand over the right cup to have a conversation. The app is okay to control the headphones. All in all they are great cans. However, if I’m going to pay $350 they literally have to do it all. I’m in the airport a lot with travel the noise cancelling work great. The only problem I find with the headphones is taking calls on the phone. It’s like being Superman as you can hear all the other voices around you + whoever you are speaking with on the other end. It’s Terrible for a pair of headphones of this quality. Sony needs to fix that. Needless to say I went back to Bose. Don’t have that problem any longer.

My previous pair was the Bose - QuietComfort 35 II and they are pretty similar. I do enjoy the sound on the Sony headphones a little better and they have more options on their app to customize sound. The touch slide command is pretty cool till you have to swipe it up a bunch of times to get the volume up. Overall it’s a great products and the battery life is good. I primarily use them while I’m traveling and still prefer them over the AirPods Pro.

Nice upgrade for the BF price

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Already have the XM2's but when I saw the MX3's and the changes they have combined with BF pricing, I decided to pick them up and give the MX2's to my wife. Since hearing is as subjective as seeing, I wont go into how these sound as everyone will have a different experience. I like how the headband is not as "round" as the XM2's, I like the silver (Had the tan XM2's), the extra spot in the case for the cable. LOVE the USB-C quick charge. Also the smoother texture on the ear cups is nice too, esp for the touch control. Overall I am happy. The BF price was just icing on the cake.
