Great sound and noise canceling
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are so many headphones on the market right now and it’s hard to know “what’s best”. First, I think this is a very personal thing- what sounds great to me may not sound great to the next person. But I took these headphones on a long trip and used them in the airport and on the plane. With the noise canceling on I barely heard any of the world around me and the sound was great. I will say that I talked to a few people, friends and Best Buy associates before I purchased. I compared these to the equivalent Bose headphones and the Beats studio 3s. To me, both Bose and Sony are better than the Beats and much more comfortable. What got me to side with Sony was the noise cancellation. At the moment it’s the best on the market. I think the audio quality between Sony and Bose is pretty close.

Great headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound on the headphones, long battery life, easy Bluetooth and good noise cancelling. Headphones run a little hot which is usually a problem with over the ear headphones but are comfortable otherwise.

Best noise cancelling headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far one of the best overall over-the-ear noise cancelling headsets. There are multiple settings for ambient noise (allows a person wearing the headset to tune out noises such as cars, trains, and busses while walking , but it picks up on conversations) and true noise cancelling. I wear these at night next to a white noise machine and I feel like I’m in my own little world. Sound quality is amazing for getting true deep bass sounds and the app has multiple settings for sound settings such being in a club, concert hall, arena, and outdoor stage further customizing your music experience. It also supports 360 Reality Audio, but you need a subscription to a premium music streaming service such as Tidal or Nugs. I have been using them nonstop to work from home, and the built-in Alexa support is amazing. The audio for answering calls is amazing and I like that the controls are touch sensitive on the side of the headset. The only reason for not receiving the fifth star is the app support for the headphones. The app is great for initial setup, but it can only be used when your headphones are on and Bluetooth connected. Updates also take quite a while to apply to your headset. These headphones are a must have item when they are on sale.

Amazing headphones! Greatest Noise-Cancelling!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these headphones after my pair of WH-1000XM2's were stolen after serving me for nearly two years. I immediately noticed the weight difference between the two, with the XM3's being much lighter. I was a bit worried about the weight difference as a build-quality compromise, but I have been proven wrong. They are noticeably more comfortable as well. The headband has significantly more padding than before, and with the decreased weight they sit on your head even more gently. They don't have to be as tight on your head to stay on as the XM2's, which makes long use times even more comfortable, with much less ear-fatigue. As long as these headphones will last, I will never purchase a different pair. If there is a better choice, I will still stick to my XM3's.

Lack of Connectivity killed it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been reading all the reviews and people say this is the best noise cancelling headphones to buy, so bought it. The headphones were meh. The sound signature sounded a bit muddy to me. However these had good qualities: they were comfortable, looked good, good noise cancelling, light weight and could fold up, etc. I bought the Bowers and Wilkins PX. The PX sounded better and looked better but were heavy and didn't fold up. Those got returned. The thing that made me return these were the connectivity. Seriously Sony? It can connect to 8 devices but cannot switch seamlessly. You must manually disconnect from one source to use another. Drove me nuts. I would have to search all of my devices to see which one it connected to in order to connect it to the one I wanted. Returned them and got the Beats simply for the W1 chip. It sucks I had to do that when Sony could/should include that feature that's present on many headphones nowadays. If you can live with that issue, more power to you. Go ahead and get these headphones. You'll probably enjoy them.

Excellent 1st Wireless Headphones
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Sony WH-1000XM3 Wireless Headphones recently. The sound has been great, like being in a concert hall. The noise cancelling feature has been excellent as well, but is easily turned off by a simple touch, so as to hear nearby voices if needed. The comfort of the headphones has been quite good. The only issue I had was initial difficulty with the on/off switch, which also acts as the paring switch. The light associated with the on/off/paring switch must be solid, not flashing, to turn off the headphones. I didn't understand this initially, so did not turn the headphones off properly, causing significant battery drain from the headphones and my iPhone. That problem is now solved, and I'm really enjoying these Sony Headphones!

Great ANC headphones!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved these headphones! They’re comfortable...wore them for hours at a time with no problem whatsoever. The music is clear and the equalizer provided by the accompanying app can really personalize the experience. Of course, the noise cancelling on this is virtually unparalleled and I really enjoyed the ease of merely putting my right hand over the right ear cup and being able to carry on a conversation with the person next to me. Swiping the touchpad on the right cup (up/down to increase/decrease volume and front/back to skip music tracks, double tap to pause music, press and hold to activate Siri, etc....proved to be a slight learning curve due to the fact that when trying to increase/decrease volume, I often times ended up skipping tracks). Even phone calls worked well, but I wish it was a tad clearer at times. These are my first pair of ANC headphones so I do not have a lot to compare this to, but I talked to many guys at Best Buy and watched more comparative YouTube videos on this topic than I care to admit. Overall, yes, great pair of noise canceling headphones. The only reason I returned them is because Bose just came out with their NC700 and I opted to exchange my Sony M3s for the call factor. I guess time will only tell if I made the right choice or not.

Better than Beats Studio in many ways
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been a Beats By Dr. Dre customer for a couple of generations, but I was never fully happy about many things including the life of the Studio & PoweBeats. Their quality and life was way below their cost; they cost too much to die in a short period of time. This headsets on the other hand are very advanced with features that aren’t Available on Beats & quality of sound that does not exist for the Now Apple owned products. I have been enjoying the Sony headsets almost everyday. I have taken them on long travels without worrying about battery life. In short, Buy this product, you won’t regret it.

Sounds better than Bose but are tight on ears!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best sounding headphones I’ve ever tried. The sound profile is not too bassy, well balanced and good mids. Noise canceling is just as good as Bose QC-2. The only downside is that it was too tight for my big head and ears. It also felt heavy on my head, the head rest padding on the top of the arch felt a bit too sharp. For that reason I had to return them and get QC-2 instead m. Hadn’t the fit been an issue I’d have kept them for sure. The built quality is also a lot nicer then Bose’s.

Best Noise Cancelling Headphones Right Now 9/27/19
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is in comparison to the Bose 700 and Bose 35 II Noise Cancelling Qualities: I currently own the Bose 35 II and the Sony's are a lot better at noise cancelling on planes, trains and the outdoors. I was able to borrow a pair of Bose 700 and they are not as good as the Sony's. I would give the Sony 9/10. Bose 700 and 35 II 8/10. Sound (Music/Movies) Listening Qualities: My Bose 35 II and the Bose 700 have slightly better sound quality. The Sony's are still great, but I use it mostly for the noise cancelling feature. I would give the Sony 9/10. Bose 700 and 35 II 9.5/10. Final Thoughts: I would buy the Sony's for the noise cancelling, good sound and the longer battery life. The Sony's lasted ~30 hours and the Bose ~20 hours.
