These would be perfect for flying. They are so soft and supple... It's like little baby clouds for your ears. The sound quality was amazing and you were able to swipe on the ear cup to change the music while in Bluetooth mode. We got a new manager at my job that axed Bluetooth on the floor because of interference, so I purchased these because you could use wired and Bluetooth as well. I also found that I was able to pair it very easily with my computer at home. I've never been able to "find" my Bluetooth requested items on the computer that fast, until now. I had some issues with it due to my husband never being able to hear me while we were talking on the phone. I've used others headsets or headphones with no issues before so I don't know if I had a bad pair or not. I tried these out for a month and found that they were not a good fit for me at work since I do a lot of physical labor and the headphones move a ton. I knew they were not super tight when I tried them on, but I fell in love with the sound quality and the noise cancelling. Unfortunately, I did return them because of my previous reasons and it was hard to justify the cost at the time. But...I would definitely recommend them and I will probably buy them again in the near future-- especially for flying.

I think the feel of the materials and design is luxurious and high-end. The sound is great for vocals but shines with its deep rich bass. The battery life feels eternal. The main feature which is the noise canceling is by far the best I've tested. The only two issues I had were: 1. I would've liked the cushion could have gone a little bigger but this is purely a personal preference but one to note for others with a "movie star head" like mine. 2. The headset will have ghost action performing while I would walk to go get Subway. I thought it was just a malfunction with mine but upon further review, there are several others that experience false actions due to the cold temperatures and the headset thinking that it was being touched by fingers. Not an issue for those in warmer temperatures or indoors but for me, it has to work flawlessly ALL year round. I returned it and will stick with my old 1000x till the bug is worked out, I'm guessing the leather in the older model allowed for fewer temperature issues. To recap, an AMAZING product worth every cent. Two minor issues and I say minor because one is a personal preference and the other issue will probably not affect most customers. I have friends that have switched their Bose headsets for this one and for good reason. Hope this helped.

Before buying these headphones I was in the market for headphones for quite some time, and time and time again I would come back to these because of all the features that really set this one apart from the rest. The sleek design, & the premium build quality provides excellent comfort when listening to them for long sessions. The sound is really amazing, and the carrying case really round out the premium price. But the deciding factors for choosing these over the Bose headphones is the USB-C fast charging connection, as well as the easy to find 3.5 millimeter Jack for wired connection vs the uncommon 2.5m Jack on the Bose. Overall a really solid product that works great and the assistant built in is an added bonus. Highly recommend these.

I purchased these earphones specifically for an extended plane trip of more than 6 hours. I did not want to hear the drone of the engines for such an extended period of time. I chose this model from the reviews I read on the noise cancelling capability. I originally was going to buy the Bose product, but the associate in the store said to give the Sony a try and I'm glad I did. I like the ANC features as well as the gesture controls. They are much easier to remember than to search for a button or dial when you want to pause or listen to an announcement. When I arrived at my destination, it was as though I traveled in a sound proof plane. I definitely recommend these to anyone who wants a quiet means to listen to music or a book.

It is the best hearing aid I have ever had, it is excellent in every way, sound, noise cancellation, design, comfort, easy to use, all good bone, define it in one word: Spectacular, thank you Sony.

Comfortable and really blocks out other noise, doesn't squeeze or give you a headache, they just fit naturally and of course are adjustable.

The headphones do a great job cancelling low frequencies and are very comfortable, I've been wearing them 2 or 3 hours at a time with no issues. Excellent battery life.

I currently use these headphones for work, both to listen to music and for phone calls. I would say the sound is good, nothing spectacular for what I've used it for. The comfort is great, though I've only had them for a couple months. I can wear them for extended periods of time, but I do need to give both the top of my head and ears a break after a while because I do get minor discomfort. I have not used the ambience noise or Google Assistant. I like the fact that you can simply cover the right ear with your hand to dim the music/sound if someone is talking to you nearby.

I love everything about these headphones. The sound quality, the fit, so comfortable. Great sound quality! It is so worth the extra to get the noise cancelling!!! Definitely would buy again!

Great sound, noise cancellation, and battery life. Amazing on long flights. All of the airplane noise just silenced leaving only clean crisp sound. Very comfortable to wear for long durations.

Pretty much does what it’s supposed to do, my only complaint is that it switches between noise cancelling and ambient settings on its own a lot if your connection isn’t great (you can fix this with adjustments to your settings). Battery life is crazy good, noise cancellation is good enough to tune out 4 dogs and child’s tantrum. Great for college students stuck at home for quarantine. If you’re gonna work out with these, just be careful not to get too much sweat in them (they’re not sweat/water resistant), I haven’t had any problems yet though. The USB-C cable to charge the headphones is short as heck so just fyi you might want to buy a longer cable.

Flew from SFO to FRA and headphones were outstanding. At first, the two prong adapter plug from Sony did not fit United's Polaris class 2 prong headphone outlet. Then realized you can bypass the the adapter and plug the single plug into one of the two prong outlets. It fits! Thinking it would only be single (mono) channel. Sound was in stereo, yes stereo. Yay! Movies on planes are now much more engaging! When I took the headphones off, man, the plane was so loud! Music sounds great and touch controls are handy too. Great job Sony. Only draw back of wearing headphones, even though comfortable, wide band on top of head flattens your hair on top of head when worn for extended periods. Band should be thinner.

Best headphones especially for working out! The sound quality is amazing and being able to change so much of the audio is super fun to mess around with.

My daughter in college needed headphones so she wouldn't bother her roommates from watching videos or playing her music in her dorm. She did have an old pair of Beats over-the-ear headphones that finally died. The Beats were battery operated and was not bluetooth capable so she wanted an upgrade. After some research, these Sony headphones had the right features and were the perfect pair for her. It was a bit pricey, but hopefully it will last a long time.

I upgraded from the first version of these headphones and I’m amazed how much better it is. Not only does it sound better, it also feels so much lighter and more comfortable. My favorite headphones by far.

I had the previous version of these and was very impressed with virtually every feature. I traveled by plane weekly and these headphones were a godsend. They create your own little world. The newer model is even better. Earcups are a little more compliant and softer, that would be the only concern I had with the previous model is that the earcups were not as comfortable as I would have liked. Sound is outstanding. I use the equalizer at almost flat as you can overpower the drivers with the equalizer. Pairing is simple, app has a lot of nice features. Love the feature where you cover the right earcup to hear ambient sound. Overall, believe the reviews you read. These are the best headphones out there

These head phones are the complete package. Charge fast with only 10 mins u get a lot of playtime. I compared it with Bose best headphones and the difference is Sony have more bass. The vocal are perfect. You can adjust equalizer with phone app. The touch sensitive ear area works very well when in operation. Just make sure to keep sensor clean.

As a professional musician who took many great pains to protect my hearing, I’ve managed to keep a pretty good handle on my hearing. Hearing protection was a must. Quality hearing protection is a nice luxury. These headphones meet that standard and well beyond. I was flying for the first time in a very long time and did not want to deal with the home of the jet engines on the way back. I tried several pairs at Best Buy and this was the one that I came up with. This one Beats all noise canceling headphones that I’ve tried. I love the app that goes with it and gives these phones a custom settings value unparalleled. Do yourself a favor, if you are buying noise canceling headphones, get these.

I spent a lot of time looking at the top of the line noise cancelling headphones and these are hands down the best. In addition to block out most of your office mates it does a great job on airplanes where the continuous noise makes it easier to filter. The right ear has a touchpad embedded allow you to swipe up/down to control the volume, left/right to skip forward/back, cupping it turns off noise cancellation to hear the flight announcement. Battery life is good and I can go about a week in the office before recharging. The Bluetooth range is about 40 feet before it starts breaking up. The only negative is the case which isn't convenient for travel as it doesn't have a strap.

These only get 4 stars due to not easily pairing to my apple devices as do the AirPods and their inability to work with my AppleTV. As noise cancelling headphones they are fantastic and I believe sound better than the Bose I owned prior to these. Great battery life and very comfortable for long use.
