I usually end up plugging them in which defeats the purpose of spending the extra money on wireless.

Please try these steps to troubleshoot the issue that you are experiencing with the WH1000XM3 Headphones.
-Bring the headset and the Bluetooth device within 1 m (3 feet) from each other.
-The headset automatically enters pairing mode when pairing the first device after purchasing, initializing, or repairing the headset. To pair a 2nd or subsequent device, press and hold the power button of the headset for 7 seconds or more to enter pairing mode.
-When pairing a device once again after initializing or repairing the headset, you may be unable to pair the device if it retains pairing information for the headset (iPhone or other devices). In this case, delete the pairing information for the headset from the device and pair them again.

XM4 is best and XM3 is amazing

If your head is big like mine, the XM4 is a bit more comfortable. The mic is a bit better on XM4. Other than that, these are stellar!

The sound is louder than QC2. I cannot tell the different between ambient noise on or off! JBL does a terrific job in that area. Overall these are very nice! I choose these over BOSE

What ruined it was accidentally changing songs when trying to turn the volume up. Or when I accidentally bumped the headset on my shoulder. Please Sony just give us some basic style headphones without touch! Returned.

I picked over the Bose comparison one. I like that the app has an equalizer because I listen to different songs or genres of music with different equalization. Perfect.

Unfortunately, I can't Bluetooth to my computer (security reasons) so it makes it tough to control since I can only plug in through aux and am having a hard time controlling it with my phone when it's plugged in. NC is ok... I can still here people, but it definitely blocks a lot out.

When I tried these on, I actually ended up preferring the feel and look of these compared to the Bose. I honestly think that these headphones have much better audio output, as well.

They deliver on borh counts. Love them on plane. A bit difficult to link/work with Google asst. but worked it out in the end.

The main reason for the switch was the Bose headphone jack was a problem finding a chord that would fit in the tiny hole on the earphone input. Happy with Sony.

They cancel out the ambient sound incredibly well. People hear me when I take calls. Very comfortable, even for long wear.

While these have a great sound I have found that the headphones will not stay in place when I am on a mat stretching they slip off my head. Very disruptive and distracting. Often just take them off until I move on to other work

Can be bothersome considered the price these are.
