The noise cancellation is not a thorough as I had hoped for, but had not had a chance to compare other products in the same environment (airplane). 2. I with these had a volume control on the headphones, separate from the device that is streaming to them.

My only issue if I'm in a loud area and turn on my music all way up people can hear my music. That at least what my wife all the time telling me: "turn your music down its too loud."

But we cannot change multiple devices without meddling with settings and it is not user friendly for this price. Also phone mic quality is worst. After 5 mins call, i reset the device and packed and returned. It is that much worst in phone quality. Cheap Bluetooth devices are much better if you are looking for phone quality. I do have Bose qc35 phones and they are much better in all aspects including phone quality.

There’s no real bass. And the haptic controls are a nightmare. If there was some kind of texture that directed the way your finger should move, it wouldn’t be as bad. But I skip songs countless times when I’m trying to adjust the volume. The only good thing about them is the battery. It lasts me a 10 hour day. They charge super fast. This is the only reason I’d recommend them to anybody. But even that isn’t enough. For what these cost, they should have been top quality. They’re not.

This is definitely not the experience we'd like you to have. For the touch sensors to work properly: the single tap must be very short/quick. If the finger touches the sensor “too long” during the tap => it will not work. Ref instructional video https://youtu.be/HnXJ_f2nbb4
Note also:

Solid buy, I would still recommend Bose.

That's the only reason it's 4/5 stars. Still a very solid buy. I would still recommend getting the Bose QC35 II headphones over these.

- To get the sound that you prefer, please try the different sound modes found in the Sony Headphones Connect app. There is even an EQ in there—which can be customized to fine-tune your music to your liking.
- Try playing another source on the device. For example, try another music app to see if the issue is with a particular app.
- When you listen to music from a computer on the headset, sound quality may be poor for the first few seconds after a connection is made. This is caused by the computer transmitting music at sound quality for communications at first, and it is not a malfunction.
