Only complaint I have is the distortion of bass while playing certain sounds. Good noise cancellation. App for iPhone is kind of Meh... nothing exciting.

Amazing Over the Ear Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In the box, headphones, airplane adapter, charge cord, carrying case and an aux cord and there are two apps (Sony Headphone Connect and Sony Music Center) that you can download to view battery life, adjust sound and adjust other modes on the headphones. It is recommended to charge the headphones out of the box and it takes about 3 hours to fully charge. On the headphones, left side there is an input plug port, power button and a NC/ambient button. On the lower right side there is a usb port with a light, that is the charge port. To start out, pull out the blue paper with the quick instructions and scan the QR code for the apps. This will make set up much easier since you could just turn on the headphones and connect to the bluetooth. With the app you are able to set your own personal settings and see the battery charge levels and all of the other different options that can be achieved with these headphones. On the first day I wore the headphones for a total of 8 hours and comfort was not problem with these headphones. There was a time when I had to move the headphones back in place but other than that, the headphones stayed in the same spot. The cups are big enough to wear over the ear hearing aids comfortably as well. When you first set the settings in the app, it does ask for you to wear the headphones like normal so that the app can adjust everything for you. Noise cancelling, can be activated with the app or the NC/ambient button on the left side headphone. There are three settings, noise canceling/ambient sound/ambient sound control off. Noise cancelling, no outside sound. Ambient sound, surrounding noise. Ambient sound control off, majority sounds. Also with the NC/ambient button, you can access the optimizer start setting. My absolute favorite feature of the headphones, place all four fingers on the right side of the outer headphone and you mute the sound so that you can hear. I wish that it would pause what I am listening to but I understand that that is asking a little much, so this is not a deal breaker for me. Battery Life is amazing! I fully charged the headphones out of the box and I have listened to music and movies for about a total of 15 hours and my battery indicator states 60%. Call quality was also amazing. I did a voice and face time call and both were great sound quality. Overall I am really enjoying these headphones, so yes to buying again and yes to recommending to friends and family!

His only complaint is to get to the "Noise cancelling mode" you have to go through ambient noise, which makes. everything around you. you have to circle button on & off modes a couple times

You can quickly cycle between Noise Canceling, Ambient Sound, and Noise Canceling Off by pressing the NC/Ambient button. You can also download the Sony Headphones Connect app and use it to change turn on/off noise canceling, or even adjust it. There is also an equalizer to tune the sound. Please refer to the Help Guide for more details.
