A little difficult to get started with but finally figured out the noise canceling part. He loves them now.

There are many great things to say about this pair of noise cancelling headphones. Sony has certainly took many strides forward to get them into the game and compete with Bose. For starters, the headphones themselves are very comfortable. The extra padding on the headband adds extra comfort to reduce strain when wearing for long periods. I was able to wear them for hours without feeling uncomfortable. The ear pads are soft leather and did not need a break-in period before they felt natural. The noise cancellation is also amazing. When compared to the Bose QC35, I would rate the Sony's as either equivalent or better. Whether the adaptive noise cancellation feature is a gimmick or not, it definitely does work. The battery life boasted by these headphones are unmatched. Thirty hours with active noise cancellation is insane! I could literally use these for weeks without needing a recharge. Finally, the audio quality from these headphones are good enough. I would not praise them as next level, especially for the price it's at. However, as far as noise cancelling headphones are concern, these have been the best in terms of sound that I've heard. Although I haven't tried many, my comparisons are the Bose QC35 as well as the Bowers&Wilkins PX. As far as concerns goes, there aren't many. I would really have to reach to find any. It would be nice if when it was connected to Bluetooth, it would mention the device it was connected to. The QC35's does this and it's a nice feature to have. Also, I wish there was an option to pause the music when you cup your hands over the right ear cup, rather than dimming the volume. The whole purpose is so you can hear the outside noise more clearly, so it only seems logical. Overall, I am very happy with this pair of headphones. I would definitely recommend them to friends who are searching for some noise cancelling headphones.

First off, the great: Noise cancellation is AMAZING, sound quality is top-notch. So that's out of the way, on to the issues that all come down to the touch controls and possibly weather? I thought I'd love touch controls because I'm the type that embraces the fanciest of technologies, but these headphones have shown me otherwise. I live in Wisconsin so it is cold right now and the chilly winds may be messing with the touch sensors in the headphones. The headphone has a feature where you can cover the right earcup to turn off the noise cancellation and turn down the volume so you can hear your surroundings. It's great feature, except when it happens out of the blue when you aren't trying to activate it. It'll activate this feature without me trying to activate it but, even worse, it won't deactivate it. So it won't go back to that amazing noise cancellation and won't revert it's volume back to its previous levels. It required me to restart the headphones. That's right- I had to reboot my headphones. Additionally, the headphones would activate Google assistance randomly. And all these problems stem from the headphones touch controls registering phantom gestures- at least that's what I think is the issue. There is one silver lining here- I'm not buying anymore headphones that rely mainly on touch controls. I'm not sure how these operate under warmer weather, and I'm not gonna wait until after the cold Wisconsin winter to find out. I'll be returning these asap.

Best pair of headphones I've ever bought!! I wasn't crazy about the color because they were a stone matte grey

Purchased these 7-19-2019. On 7-24-2020, the swivel point on the left ear up broke, rendering the headphones unusable. Contacted Sony for an authorized repair center, and was provided contact information for their only factory authorized center in the U.S. Sent them in, and was quoted $198.00 to replace a simple piece of plastic that forms a “ball and socket” type swivel connection. This piece of plastic probably costs less than $5.00 to make, yet apparently the entire headband needs to get replaced. Electronically, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my headphones, and I really enjoyed both the NC and the sound quality of them. However, when I can now purchase a new pair of these for about 50 bucks more, I find the repair cost unacceptable. Combined with the fact that they broke about a week after the 1 year warranty expired, and I will most likely never purchase another Sony product. That’s a shame, as like I said, I really really loved the sound of these headphones.

The finishing touches is great...I like the fact that I can use both Google and Amazon Alexa...

Hands free ,Google assistance, clarity, settings to my daily movements. This device is awesome I'm glad I got it.

This Sony head set is absolutely great and comes with so many options to tailor to your specific audio experience.

Product very good, I wish it was waterproof, talking over the phone using it is not good unless you are very very close to the mic, I use it with Iphone 11 pro max.

As usual, Sony comes thru again. These headphones are A+++ and I would recommend them to anyone

Used this before. This is a replacement. Problem is that the handle is not as sturdy as expected. Damaged after a few months use. Works as expected

These cancel out all but the highest registers, such as loudly talking women sitting nearby. They are extremely comfortable. The over-the-ear cups are practically not noticeable; you forget you are wearing them.

Purchased as a gift and the receiver loves it. Said theyre the best hands down on the market.

First off, I wasn't super confident on sound quality being Sony and based on other reviewers that have compared them with Bose, B&W, Sennheiser, etc. Let me tell you, I was impressed and I am totally satisfied and amazed at the sound quality. My first long term experience via flights from BOS to MN: - After 5 hours of constant use, comfort = best ever! I've owned B&W P7 and they hurt the top of my head after 2 hours. - Sound in concert and NC mode, unbelievable. I sat near the wing and practically dead silent with music off. - After 5 hrs, went to 80% s I'll have to verify 30 hrs time stated - Very light and comfortable, hardly know they are on your head. - Good base and fully adjustable via app. Nothing negative about these headphones. I have owned low end Sony, B&W, Bose QC (various) and some other buds and these are by far the best. (Yes, sorry, I keep repeating myself) The only "gripe" to my pretentious side is that don't look like expensive sounding headphones like the B&W but that just means nobody would want to steal them as they are very low key.

Love it. Easy to handle, excellent quality. It's not cheap but well worth it. Instructions are excellent.
