These are the best headphones I have had and the audio can Eq settings can be adjusted in the app

Unfortunately, these headphones were disappointing from the moment I opened the box. They arrived with no battery life, so I charged them for an hour (the 5 hours per 10 minute charge didn't seem to deliver as advertised). When I finally turned them on, this loud screeching sound came out of the left ear speaker. The only way to stop it was to turn off the Noise Canceling effect. I tried turning the device off and on numerous times - even gave it three days to see if it would go away, but the screeching continued whenever Noise Canceling was turned on. Since they fit comfortably, I figured I'd try another pair of the same model by exchanging them at my local Best Buy. However, they were sold out of both colored models and couldn't order another pair from a different location because they were sold out everywhere within 200+ miles. I tried looking elsewhere Online, but you can't even get them off Amazon at this time, and no one knows when Sony will ship them again. After trying numerous other brands, I was convinced to settle for the Sony 1000 XM2 (same price as the XM3), but I intend to return them. They don't fit as comfortably and the ambient sound quality isn't even comparable to the XM3. Not sure why Best Buy charges the same price for these two models - doesn't seem right. Will update my review when/if I get another pair.

I thought long and hard about spending so much money but this headset is worth every penny !

These, I bought day one when they released and I can't find any better.

I compared those two in the store for a bit of time, WH-1000XM3 has more cool features than QC35.

This was purchased for my son, but he is very pleased with the performance of the headphones.

This is a great pair of headphones, they do get a bit hot after an hour or so of use

The Sony 1000X and Bose Quiet Comfort have battled as the best two noise cancelling wireless Bluetooth headsets for a few years with devoted followers in both camps, but Sony may have just pulled ahead with their Mark3 update. Here are the major highlights and upgrades of this new headset: +USB-C!!! All rechargeable devices should be using USB-C, not just for the interchangeable direction connector, but also for the Quick Charge properties. My headset didn’t have much battery charge and wouldn’t allow me to do the firmware update but just 10 minutes and it was showing 100% again. +Extremely light and comfortable over the ear design. Just give yourself some slack on the headband to split the weight between your head and your ears. The memory foam padding and pleather material feel great and don’t sweat too much. They also look pretty good without a huge profile while wearing. +Noise cancelling features are excellent as advertised. You can’t hear anything once you put these on with noise cancelling. You can set a 20 pt slider that equalizes between noise cancelling and allowing ambient sounds. You can also use Adaptive that tries to determine what setting you are in and how much cancelling you want in each setting. You can hold your hand over the right headphone and the mic allows ambient sound and lowers the volume of your music. +Sound quality is excellent overall, although the bass wasn’t as punchy and responsive as your Best wires headsets give you. +App overall is easy to use and pleasant looking with tons of features and settings. +Awesome build quality, case and portability. They also look great without being too flashy and fold into the carrying case. While the headsets are amazing overall, there were some minor annoyances: -The USB-C cable is worthlessly short. Keep it in the case for emergency connections to a power brick and buy a 5 pack of USB-C 3-5 foot cables to charge this on your PC or from a wall outlet. -Wireless firmware update took a very long time. Like 30 minutes. -Overall the app worked very well but there were a few connectivity inconsistencies the first time I connected. I imagine all of these will be fixed with app and firmware updates. I didn’t have to go to Settings on my IPhone X once but I did get a few prompts to connect via Bluetooth. -The right headphone tap commands aren’t super intuitive at first and the picture in the case gets you in the right direction but not fully there. Reading the instructions showed me you had to swipe the length of the ear cup in the direction you want to get commands to register. 2x tapping to star, stop or take a call were pretty self explanatory. Overall these are great headphones for travelers and commuters who want to enjoy their music withour outside noise and interruptions.

I got these headphones based on some of the reviews I read hoping they would be an upgrade over the excellent Bose QC35's that I already own. I also have the Sony 1000X behind-the-neck headphones and love the sound they deliver with excellent highs/mids and a punchier base than the QC35's, however, the noise-cancelling feature is not as good. So I was hoping that the Sony 1000MX3's might have both: excellent sound/punchy base and better noise cancelling. The answer was a resounding YES! The 1000MX3 has both amazing sound and incredible noise-cancelling technology. I downloaded the Sony Headphones Connect app which has numerous features, one of which is an equalizer so you can adjust the sound to the sound profile you like best. I prefer the "Excited" mode, great full-range sound with solid bass tones. Once you close down the app it retains whatever sound mode you last chose so you don't have reset it every time you turn on the headphones. The noise-cancelling is incredible, better than Bose in my opinion. It has a "smart listening" feature which automatically balances the noise-cancelling levels to your activity level and it works amazingly. The battery life is also outstanding, Sony states it will last up to 30 hours and I can confirm that. If the battery runs low you can charge it for only 10 minutes and get 5 hours of playback, pretty impressive. So to sum up, the Sony WH-1000XM3's deliver premium sound, outstanding noise-cancelling abilities, excellent battery life and they are comfortable to wear over long periods of time. You can't find a better pair of headphones.
