Amazing! If this was to be a one word review then "Amazing" would be the word i used. Sony have taken what was amazing about the Xm2 and improved in every way. Not only are they more comfortable but they're also lighter! They provide excellent padding in the band and the cups and they feel as sturdy as ever. The color scheme has changed slightly with the black pair having almost brass accents . looks very classy. USB C for charging! Hoorah! that makes it so much easier in an age where micro USB is becoming a relic, now i can carry one wire for charging my phone and headphones. The sound wasnt poor on the M2 but its been improved again providing a really nice range. The lows are low and the mids and highs shine through regardless of the music you are listening too. They even improved the ANC which is hands down by far the best available Overall these are amazing and have took the mantle of the best headphones i own

Hi Mroregon, Thank you for the 4-star rating! We're happy to know you appreciate the overall features and performance of the headphones. To get the most out of your WH-1000XM3, download the Sony | Headphones Connect App. You can change the function assigned to the button or touch sensor on the headphones. Additionally, you can turn off/disable the touch sensor control panel of the headphones through Sony | Headphones Connect app. It includes Adaptive Sound Control—which automatically adjusts noise canceling based on your activity, and an equalizer—which can be customized to fine-tune your music. Using our advanced noise canceling technology, we designed these headphones so you can block out noise and experience next-level silence. Plus, you have the ability to use the convenient smart features including Quick Attention, Google Assistant/Alexa/Siri compatibility, and touch controls. Thank you for choosing Sony. -Jess Sony_US

I was expecting so much more from headphones that cost $350! Beware, these headphones sound like crap right out of the box, you MUST download the Sony app, without it they sound worse then the free pair of headphones that came with my iPod. Oh, and so far, I haven't figured out a way to download the Sony app to my PC, grrrr. I've had LG Electronics Tone Pro HBS-760 Bluetooth and Jaybird X3's and I've never had a problem with a dropped signal unless I was 30+ feet away from my iPod, these Sony's drop signal at least once per wearing, even with my iPod in my pocket. Again, very disappointing! I will give them an "A" for noise canceling but that's not really why I bought them. Based on the headphones that I've owned in the past, including a pair of Sennheiser HD 650 Open Back Professional wired Headphones, I'd say that the Sony WH-1000XM3's would be a good way to go if they cost less than $150.

Had these for 3 months. Great sounds. Requires complex app to controls levels which can take some time to get used to. However, the arm broke with normal use. A known issue that isn’t covered by any warranty. $100 fix for a $350 pair of headphones.

Now... 1) difficult to connect to a pc or TV, for this price I would expect to connect to 2 devices at the same time. (Like the turtle beach headphones do) 3) I could not connect it to my pc, and it’s a high end windows 10 custom PC (yes 2080ti, 9900k, etc). 4) my tv (Samsung) does not recognize the headphones at all, and if it did... I would have to reset every time I would want to use it between my phone and my tv (If you ever wanted to try this function, try turtle beach for Xbox, I can have those wired to my pc, and listening to music from my phone at the same time, it’s weird actually) 4) headphones are clunky, putting inside their storage, taking them out, charging the... a hassle. In the end, they do sound great, but still my wireless beats pro do almost the same job, and are true wireless... Sony has a main issue here, connectivity, and easy of use. Failed on both.

Not much to say other than the best sounding headphones I’ve ever used, and I’ve tested more than a few. Rich, clear sound is what you get from these Sony’s. Deep bass, crystal clear mid tones, rich crisp high tones. Noise canceling on these headphones are the best I’ve experienced hands down. Ambient sounds when switched on is very good. There are only two buttons, on/off and Noise cancelling on and off. Everything else is controlled by touch on the right ear side. This takes some getting used to but once you get used to it, it is no problem. I connected to the app which I know is available for your iproducts, not certain of Android though. When I first connected the phones went through an personal optimizing process and an atmospheric pressure optimizing process which took just a few seconds. Once finished with the optimizing an update came up which I did. It took about 5-10 minutes, pretty long process. But not a problem, I just set the head phones down and let it do it’s thing. The App is probably worth having and using, it does give you some custom options which really do make a difference in the quality of the sound. Two other quick notes, one while listening to music or whatever if you place you palm over the right ear, noise cancelling will go off so you can hear ambient sound. This is a very nice feature and seems to work well. It seems to work for as long as you hold your palm to it, with no time limits I could tell. Second, it uses a USB-C cable which I really like and wish everyone would just start using. I highly recommend these headphones, I just don’t think there’s anything that compares at the moment.

These headphones are supposed to be compatible to connect via blue tooth to Sony TV per Sony web site but they are not, do not pair. Did not get chance to hear how they sound but look well made and comfortable to wear. Look quality made. Returned to store. Little pricey to use with IPOD but quality cost money.
