I’d rather get Bose headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My headphones aren’t loud. And they’re too big. And the noise canceling ain’t that good.

Received Dirty Used Pair
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered it during the one-day sale, and Best Buy sent me a box that had been opened, with the instructions out of the plastic wrap, and little hairs inside the ear cups. Absolutely disgusting and absolutely unacceptable for an item this expensive. I explicitly bought it from Best Buy instead of Amazon because I thought Best Buy would be a more reputable seller. Not the case. Monumentally disappointed. Now the headphones are sold out, and Best Buy wants me to go to the post office during COVID and return them. I shipped these to my house for the exact reason of avoiding going anywhere during this pandemic. Thanks a lot Best Buy.

The Best Quality Sound, Comfort, and NC, buy them!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own or have owned recently the Bose QC35 II's, the Beats Studio 3's, and the Sony XM2's. I am a consultant and fly weekly for work, so I have logged plenty of hours testing all of these brands and can decisively say the new Sony 1000 XM3's are by far the best noise canceling and best sounding headphones I have tried. I put a little over 100,000 flight miles on my XM2's last year alone, and during my testing of the new XM3's over the past month or so it's clear to me they are better in every way. Comfort was a big issue for me with the XM2's, the one category that the Bose QC35's beat them in by a large margin. On long-haul flights I used to have to regularly take off the XM2's and give my head and ears a break, that is no longer the case with the XM3's. I have worn these for 7+ hours straight with zero comfort issues. Sound quality is exceptional, I like a huge variety of music including Rock, Country, Rap, etc. and the bass and overall quality of the sound is absolutely amazing (blows the Beats Studio 3's and Bose out of the water). Buying these for sound quality alone would be worth it, but the noise canceling makes these an absolute steal, especially if your a frequent traveler who needs to escape from the real world. I've tested the 2's and 3's side by side in an airport lounge and on a flight, and the 3's have a noticeable improvement. The new design style of the headband portion of the headphones is much more comfortable and low profile compared to the XM2's, the band conforms closer to your head which looks less clunky, and helps if you want to sleep against the window/wall of the plane with less discomfort! Additionally, the Sony app is great for tuning, the battery life meets or exceeds the 30 hours, the swipe/gesture controls are extremely handy, and the build quality is rock solid. I'm a huge vehicle and home audio fan of Bose and have Beats headphones for the gym, but I can and will 100% recommend these headphones over any competitor by a mile for the intended purpose of listening to quality music or movies with the added bonus of noise cancellation.

Hear your music and nothing else
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using these as my daily headphones for over a week now, and I can honestly say I've never worn a pair of noise cancelling headphones that are better than these. I'll start by saying that the only reason I'm giving them a 4 star review and not 5, is because of the headband design. The curve of the headband is more tear drop shape, not very square across the head, so I have to keep the headband opened up a little bit larger than I'd like to, just to get the ear-cups to fit over my ears in a comfortable way. I wish I could keep them a little more secured to my head, but keeping them opened larger at least gives me a comfortable fit. The headphones are super light, but the build quality is very good. The sound quality is amazing. I'm not sure what the Liquid Crystal Polymer diaphragms are doing under the hood here, but the HD audio quality is simply superb. And activate the Noise Cancelling, and everything goes away, i mean everything. All ambient noise is flipped off like a switch. I was truly amazed. And the new Sense Engine tailors the ambient noise to the environment you are in. And when you need to hear the world around you, without taking the headphones off, simply raise your hand and cover the earcup - noise cancelling and music pauses so you can speak to others, hear important information around you, etc. it works exceptionally well. Call quality was pretty good, people told me that I was clear sounding on cellular calls, but did sound a tad bit faint. They are super comfortable and I never got listening fatigue when having them on for hours at a time. The Battery holds up as well, on full charges I never needed to recharge or stop my listening.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want to buy a pricey set of headphones that turns off within one minute of charge, does not hold charge for more than 2 minutes, and sound loud and hollow when trying to use touch control, here. I tried charging them all night(with the type-c charger it came with). I tried to reset them using all guides on the Sony Support site and I cannot get them to hold charge. I tried to update the drivers but that can only be done while they are on and only through a mobile app. Do not take a chance on these. Even if you keep them in the case and take care of them it can happen.
