Love at first listen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love these headphones. Not only for their performance, but for the technology and feature set built in. The touch/gesture settings are fantastic, and the three levels of noise cancelling are great to have when you don't want to completely shut the outside world out. Charging is fast and gives you days of use after less than an hour. Bonus points for using a USB-C plug. The only knock I have on them, is that they are ever so slightly heavier than the Bose QC 2's - but the difference really is negligible. I highly recommend them.

Absolutely great noise cancelling headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a previous owner of the Bose Quiet Comfort headphones. The Sony headphones are way more enjoyable. The sound is much better especially on the high end which always sounded slightly distorted on the Bose. Also the noise isolation is way better. The Bose worked great on airplanes but were ok at best at reducing ambient noise in the office. The Sony model definitely performs better at reducing outside noise which allows me to listen to music at quieter, more comfortable levels.

Google Assist
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing tech. I think the power button should be separate from the BT connect/reconnect button. That's the only imperfection I would identify - Except for Google assistant. Connecting is pretty much no issue, but when I hold the button to dictate, it simply does not work. It connects for a second like its about to work (listen to me talk), but then disconnects from the mic as if I let go of the button. Frustrating. I've disconnected and reconnected all the apps. I upgraded to the latest Sony software (maybe that is the issue). Anyway, for the price, it all should work -or just get rid of the feature altogether. I've yet to try Alexa- that should be an adventure.

Great product, poor quality control
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've seen a ton of reviews that say these are amazing, better than Bose, etc. I bought them when they were still $350 and though it was a decent deal being $50 cheaper than the Bose 700. Now they're on Black Friday sale for $70 less, which is an even better deal, so long as they work. Here's the problem I had: When I first put them on and just wanted to hear how silent they made my room with the air conditioning running, they sounded great. But a few hours of use later, they developed a strange very soft, but noticeable white noise. It seemed to me like the noise cancelling was actually introducing too much phased sound which created the white noise. I exchanged the original pair I bought for another pair. The second pair had the same white noise, so I thought, maybe this is just how these works. When listening to music, it's not noticeable, but it is clearly there when not listening to anything. I figured I could live with it, but then the right ear cup started producing really jarring popping noises while on the train and sometimes at work. The whole point of these was to reduce distraction while working or to block out noise on trains and airplanes. But the combination of white noise and the incessant popping was too much. I returned these again, and bought the Bose 700. I can say with certainty that the white noise is a Sony only feature (bug), as the Bose do not make the same sound when using only the noise cancelling. In my experience with both headsets, the Bose are superior in noise cancelling and build quality.

Pleasantly surprised!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw all the great reviews for these headphones and decided to give them a try. They work and sound great! The only negative thing I've found with them is that the earpads don't smell so great coming out of the box (mine were new and not open box). They have a strong chemical vinyl smell, that even after a couple weeks, haven't faded yet.

Best ANC headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are an amazing upgrade over the original 1000x and the M2s. They are however not perfect. I drove 40 miles just to pick these up. Cons: I have big ears and they hit the drivers. Deeper earcups would be great. Multidevice connect would be very convenient, I use my phone and Nintendo switch with a bluetooth adapter. I know alot of people would like to pair this to a tablet or laptop as well.

Really wanted to love these
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After doing extensive research I had decided to go all out and give these a try. While the sound and noise cancelling is very impressive, I mostly use them while I'm working so they're connected to my laptop and unfortunately even though I am only a foot away the sound cuts in and out for about 30 seconds straight every 10 minutes or so. Additionally, these headphones squeeze your head like no other and I wound up with a pretty severe headache after just a couple of hours each day that I used these.

Good noise canceling but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have listened to a lot of headed phones and no questions these headphones have great noise canceling quality but they can’t give you the sound you want. If your looking for hard hits and deep bass look for different headphones. I have old like 6-7 year old monster inspiration headphones before Dr. Dre bought monster headphones. Wish he didn’t cause man he made monster headphones suck now but Sony still sound better then studio 3. When it comes to song that don’t have heavy bass or heavy hits these headphones are amazing. I put these headphones up to bitter sweet symphony to my old monsters and yeah the clarity to the highs was a litte better but the lows not even close. The amount of sound (loudness) monster well old monster blew these out of the water. I will most likely return them and keep looking. The only reason to replace my old headphones was because the leather is starting to fall apart and it’s embarrassing to walk around in them. If they still sold the monster inspiration I would but it a heart beat. I would recommend if your looking for headphones for classical acoustic jazz some country some rock but definitely not hip hop or rap techno house and anything with hard hits and heavy bass cause you will be disappointed. I also compared them both with wired not Bluetooth cause monster inspiration does not have Bluetooth. Used audio quest aux cable

Near Perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are super light and way more comfortable than my QC 35 2 series. The noise canceling is better too. My only two issues are the "power off" sound is a bit too loud (but you can just take then off first), and I would prefer real buttons on the side as opposed to gestures. These complains are not enough to lower the score, though.
