One fatal flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphones have to be manually disconnected from last used device despite bluetooth staying connected on all devices. Problem is you dont realize its connected to the other device or which one until you go through process of elimination. My $25 anker headphones are way more enjoyable to use than the Sonys. An example, my spouse is asleep so I pulled out my phone and headphones to finish my show. Turned on headphones and they paired to phone. Double checked bluetooth connection and they were...pushed play and woke my spouse up because despite showing a connection the primary device was either my ipad or laptop. Dealbreaker for headphones demanding such high prices. Situations like this make me wish I could return because they are a pain to use. They sound great but the bluetooth issues make these the worst bluetooth product I own to date and prob the most expensive. Buy the Bose, what good is high res music if it takes forever to play. Imagine your studying and listening to music on laptop...you jump up to leave and on the subway you want to listen to music from phone. You must then pull out laptop and manually disconnect then go back into phone and reconnect. 5 minutes have now gone by and tge entire time your going to wish you saved $350 and got tge Anker earbuds tgat have intelligent bluetooth.

Great Headphones - Poor Accessories
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For $350 you should get a transformer (not included), the power cord is 3 inches long too short to be much use, the storage case is not large enough for the cords, cords easily fall out. Storage case looks cheap as well. I purchased a better case and longer power cord, plus transformer on Amazon. So far the headphones are as advertised and I like the headphones, easily could be half that price and still make a good profit. I bought the headphone as I had a $200 dollar rewards and needed to use or lose.

Best headphones in the market.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to keep it simple. I've bought and returned about 6 different pair of headphones, some broke within days, some were too tight and heavy and some were not worth their price. The Sony "M3" as what they're usually known for are the best in the market. As simple as that. Don't look any further.

Connection Lag and Audio Clipping
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although these are somewhat comfortable to wear and come with a nice case (but really who buys $350 headphones for the case) it takes at least 10 seconds consistently for the bluetooth to connection to appear on my phone. I cannot turn on the headphones and then start listening to music (like I can with wired headphones - plug them in and you're good to go), instead I have to wait, and wait, and wait, until it's actually paired. I really do not like the buttons placement - I keep accidentally initiating sound optimization when meaning to power off/on, and you must be very conscious about where your fingers are placed when removing the headphones or sound optimization gets initiated yet again. The gesture functions work less than half the time for me and are goofy - a poor substitute for actual physical buttons smartly located. Worst of all, the sound cuts out with popping noises intermittently. I will be returning these for a less expensive product.

Noise canceling? Yes, but with cracking sounds...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Good sound, effective noise-cancelling, comfortable, light, good-looking. Cons: I'm trying to love these but I think it will be yet another exchange or a return for a refund. I feel bad rating them this low, but, unfortunately, I cannot give it a higher score than two stars i.e. "fair" in Best Buy's terminology. I'm on my replacement pair, the first pair developed an unbearable creaking / cracking / crackling of plastic on the LEFT side within a week of every day wear on the street/in transport. No matter if NC was on or off, or if headphones were on or off at all, there was that sporadic high pitch plastic cracking sound when you move around your head which suggests a mechanical issue of some stresses within the material, that was definitely exacerbated when NC was on and all the sounds were muffled / cancelled except for the crackling that becomes even more noticeable. I thought I'd live with it and that over time I would stop noticing this annoying sound, quite the contrary, it's become rather frustrating and maddening at times, I would say that white noise of the train is more bearable than this annoying noise, so it defies the purpose of having NC, doesn't it? I exchanged them for another pair (about 130,000 numbers spaced in serial numbers, first one: S01-526XXXX-M, the replacement: S01-539XXXX-J, both black-colored models). The second one was even worse, the crackling started on the 2nd day, and these sounds are more frequent than on the 1st pair plus now I also get them on the right side every now and then. I can't figure out where they come from, the hinges, the bands, the cups, what I know is that I don't like this bug, it has become a deal-breaker for me. I have seen other people reporting this problem. Don’t know if this is a bad batch, randomly-spaced defective items that some of us got, or if we just hear it when others (happier owners) do not hear / notice this at all.

These are really Not That Good! Here's why
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I got the Bose QCIIs and loved'ed, light, sounded good and I actually fell asleep with them on! But the hype on these new Sonys was killing me. So I picked up a set. 1st they are build better than expected and sound more base deepness than the Bose. However hold on it all ends there he is my list of what fails. 1. Control - slide finger control sucks and does not respond half the time. 2. Ear Cup - Not nearly as good as Bose, They touch my ears on the bottom and on the sides. 3. The Case - you can only use it if you fold in a specific manner. Pockets, things fall out they should have put a pouch inside the case like the Bose. Head Band - They say its nice and comfortable but it bugs you to have a big this thing pressing down on the top of your head. 4 Eq Options - Yes there is a ton of adjustments (Arena, Hall, Concert, ETC...) but none sound better than just the default. So its a waste. 5. Place your hand on the side to hear - Bogus! it takes 2 seconds for the device to recognize the music should be muted. 6. Sound - Although the base is better than the Bose, its also much more muddy/fuzzy. This is Not a tight punchy base you would imagine. 7. Alexis and Google Assist - What a waste of time, I can't imaging anyone using this with the extended delay when you active. 8. My Biggest Complaint - It only pairs cleanly to one device! The Bose can bounce from PC to Phone naturally and perfectly. These things need to be manually paired when you want to change devices. Ive tried and tried and can not figure an easy way to swap BT devices. So due to the above I will be returning my XM3s and go back to the Good old dependable Bose.

Not worth the $$$
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went in with high hopes for these, I had read many, many reviews stating both the pros and cons for these but in the end I was disappointed with them and had to return them. The noise cancelling is great, don’t get me wrong and the app is very feature heavy so you can fine them to your preference BUT the constant knocking noise they make when walking with them on, not running just walking is unacceptable. I also had issues with them randomly turning off and back on, for no apparent reason at all. I exchanged my first pair thinking I may have just been given a faulty pair but the second pair did exactly the same thing. Also worth noting, many people said they were tight on your head when worn and uncomfortable whilst the uncomfortable part is true they didn’t feel secure on my head at all. They definitely don’t feel like a pair of $350 headphones when held either.

great but painful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.love everything about these except my ears seem to be too big to fit comfortably in ear pad. I can't wear them for more than 10-15 minutes. I've tried several fixes and none work, sad to say. Is there some way to get larger ear cups?

I loved it at first but Call Quality is terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the top of the line bose Headphones, and returned them to try these because the reviews were good and it was less expensive.i What really got me hooked on was the noise cancelling. It is AMAZING, so I bought them. However, They don't work well at work in an office. People constantly say they hear interference etc , but the phone call sounds fine to me. Also, can't sit in front of a fan or walk out side and try to talk on the phone. The wind is amplified and is louder through the headphones. I read a similar review before I bought these where the user mentioned this issue but said it wasn't a big deal and he still like them. So, I though I take a chance. Well it turns out It is a big deal!! At least it you want to use them in an office.

bad sound quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are nice headphones and are good quality, they can handle bass very well but the actual sound quality is NOT. they sound extremely soft / fuzzy and do not produce a sharp crisp sound like my old ones that I THOUGHT were identical to these headphones.

ANC faulty after first day
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My initially experience with these headphones was exceptional. The build, sound quality, and ANC are outstanding when working. Unfortunately, on the 2nd day of use static began started only in the left ear cup when ANC is active the entire time. After reading many forums this appears to be an issue with this model. I cannot recommend them due to this fact.

Purchased it Conclusion its Over Hyped
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The most annoying, pain in the butt thing about the headphones is if you want to connect to your iPhone and its connected to another system you have to disconnect from the other system first. Old technology usage by Sony. Be ready to swipe a multitude of times for volume control and track selection. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Also found out that the battery cant be exchanged. This means it will go on the pile of other Sony products that last only a few years. I swore off Sony Baloney years ago. I got pulled in because of the hype.

Bluetooth issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I listen to a ton of music a day. Having no cord connected to my computer is awesome.. The sound qualify is great. However, the Bluetooth does not work with iTunes unless I first open up a utube video and start playing it. THEN and only then, can I go into iTunes and hear a song on the headset. This is really annoying!! I shouldn't have to open multiple applications for the headset to work.

DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked these over the Bose because the noise canceling is better than the Bose in my opinion and I like having the option of a wire. I got home and immediately my pair developed this high static/cracking noise in the right earphone. I googled it to see if there was a fix and found out that there is no fix (resetting & initializing DOES NOT WORK) so I exchanged them for another pair. Got home and noticed that they didn't turn on out of the box (the first pair did) so I charged them for 3+ hours and they still didn't turn on. I tried resetting and initializing with no luck. Gooogled it and it is another common issue. So I will be taking them back and getting the Bose and reporting Sony to BBB because they know they are selling an extremely faulty product and doing nothing about it. I HIGHLY SUGGEST NOT BUYING THESE AS THEY ARE A WASTE OF MONEY.
