So in fairness I liked he sound control on these headphones better than the Bose equivalent. I took these on a trip to Japan, so have a pretty good feel for their performance now. The noise canceling is amazing. It literally brought the aircraft noise down to a slight background hum. Amazing. And the ambient mode was great...tap the button on the left ear piece and I could hear the flight attendants clearly. Bass is at a good level out of the box, but I had to use the EQ settings to get it sounding on par with the Bose quality.

These headphones re comfortable and lightweight. Good job of noise cancellation and good sound quality. Battery life seems good as well.

Literally everything about these headphones are awesome. The bass, the noise cancelling, and the comfort. What more can you ask for.

I bought Sony XM3, Bose Quiet Comfort II and the newest Beats Studio3. The Beats had great bass quality but Sony and Bose's over all sound quality is by far better. Bose's bass is non existent without a third party booster. Also, Beats don't suppress ambient noise the way the Bose and Sony's do. Bose's noise cancellation is decent but not better then the Sony XM3. ....with all that said, I highly recommend the Sony XM3 by far. Also the Sony's battery lasted the longest. Sony is making a run in this industry. Right now, they're winning.

All of the reviews on this are correct. These headphones feel really nice to wear. and are very comfortable for those long flights. The noise canceling technology works wonders. The sound from the plane is barely noticeable when you are listening to your music podcast or movies. The case that it comes in also protects your headphones while you travel and lets you know how it's folded in. Over all these headphones are extremely well built they feel comfortable, and the noise canceling works great

These really are great headphones. Sound fantastic. Very comfortable. Easy to use. Hold a charge for a long time.

I was looking for a good pair of headphone and these turned out to be what I’m looking for. First, the noise canceling feature was a bonus for me. I wasn’t specifically set out to buy noise canceling. What I was really looking for was sound quality. These have them. They have the best soundstage I have ever heard and overall performance is fantastic. Now these aren’t digital reference but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consider these. It really depends on your audio preference. I will say that I do prefer these over Beats Studio 3. These are much better balanced when it comes to audio quality. The physical quality also feels better than Bose and the QC series. Soft cushioning where it’s needed is provided with metal reinforcements to make these feel durable. Controls are touch based and work fairly well. Sometimes they can be a bit frustrating, especially when you try to raise the volume but accidentally skip to the next song. Other than the twitchy controls, these are very intuitive. What else do you need to know? They charge very quickly and use USB-C. They also support NFC pairing as well. The one annoying flaw is that this won’t support multiple Bluetooth connections. You literally have to disconnect before you can switch devices. Hopefully this will be fixed with a firmware update. Despite all the few flaws, these are fantastic and I would definitely recommend them. Pros: good build quality, fantastic sound quality, excellent noise cancellation, USB-C, great hard case. Cons: no multiple Bluetooth connections supported, twitchy controls.

I use this wirelessly and through a earphone jack on my laptop to stream tv, movies, games, video and music on a daily basis. Also have used with my iPhone. It has awesome noise canceling abilities and seems to have great sound quality as the best I’ve ever listened from and with. Comfortable and easy to use, I love it. Long battery life as well! Highly recommend these. Only downside is with little to no airflow they have (rarely) gotten moisture in ear cups. However, not the norm.

My only gripe with these headphones is that they do not bluetooth connect to my computer or my iPad. I do like the fact that you can use the cord to plug into any device with a headphone jack and you don't have to turn use the battery on the headphones. The sound is amazing and the headphone app for the iPhone lets you take photos of your ears so the sound is adjusted just for your ears. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I have worn them on walks with my dog and my ears did not get too hot. I have not tried heavy exercise with them on yet. I usually wear my air pods for running or something strenuous. They cut out a lot of noise even without the extra noise cancelling function. They have calmed me during anxious episodes so I would reccomend them for them that.

I really like the sound from these headphones and the noise canceling is great. My only complaint is that the ear cups could be deeper / cushioning could be denser. My ears hit the material just over the speakers in the cups and can be irritating at times. I'm able to adjust them slightly to alleviate this, but the do move back into the position that has them hitting my ears again. Overall though, the headphones are great and the battery lasts a good amount of time.

Working in an open office environment the last couple years it has been a struggle to block out the noise. Finally broke down and bought the Bose QC35 first because they were supposed to be the best. They are good but the audio quality was pretty flat. Did some more research and returned them for the Sony's and it made a big difference. Not only is the noise cancelling more adaptive but you can change the sound profile. They are comfortable to wear for long periods even with a large head like I have. Highly recommend.

Prior to these headphones I had the Bose QC35’s (1st edition). I owned them for 3 years and then all of the sudden they no longer work. I purchased these as a father’s day gift to myself while on vacation and they don’t disappoint. On the flight home, my wife was sitting one aisle over with our 2 kids and after a few attempts of calling my name she had to throw a bag of peanuts at me in order to get my attention. Great headphones indeed, clear, good bass, loud enough and excellent noise cancelling.

I really do like these headphones. The sound quality is outstanding for the music I listen to, the noise cancelation works better than I ever thought and they are quite comfortable, even after wearing for multiple hours. The only complaint I have is that they can only be connected to a single device at a time. If they're connected to my phone and I want to connect them to my tablet to watch a video, I have to get my phone and manually disconnect them from that before I can connect them to my tablet.

For years and years I have been a loyal Bose customer. Truthfully, I can’t even count the amount of Bose products I have purchased. After much research, I finally decided on these headphones. I am so happy with my decision! Great sound, comfort and app to control sound. My only complaint is that although I wanted silver, I chose black. The “silver” is very off in color compared to the Bose. It is more of a whacky copper color. Don’t let that stop you, these headphones ROCK!

Great all around headphones. Excellent noise cancelling, extremely comfortable, and the touch controls are flawless.

I do not regret getting these headphones at all. These headphones have excellent clarity, good bass, and really immerse you into what you're listening to. The touchpad on the earcup is easy to use and the headphones connect easily to your phone. The noise cancelling is amazing up to the point where it is just you and your music. The fit is very comfy and it feels almost unnoticeable when you are wearing them. The Sony app allows you to customize the noise cancelling effectiveness and sound quality.

This is my first ANC headphones and I can absolutely say these are GREAT! I am a college student so using these in libraries and around campus can keep me focused. I bought these the day they came out so I had them since then and I do notice a creek in the hinges so I might contact Sony about that.. but other than that the nice canceling is great! I used them on my 15 hour flight to Hong Kong and these pads are so comfortable I slept like a baby without hearing babies... lol BUY THESE if you're a student or frequent traveler.

Currently writing this with these Sony headphones on listening to my favorite playlist and wow, it is amazing. Great sound quality all across the board, comfortable to wear, easy to connect, and the noise cancelling is just something else. I'm amazed at just how much I DON'T hear anymore; my keyboard typing, my computer fan, my brother yelling at his game, my dog barking. If someone yelled that there was a fire, I would probably not hear them at all.
