These headphones are very nice. They were comfortable to wear and stylish. The noise cancellation and sound quality was pretty good, but not quite good enough. Now that my husband and I are both working from home, and our desks are side by side, I needed to block out his calls. With the highest level of noise cancellation turned on I could still hear him. (He is kind of loud, but still.) I ended up getting the Bose QC35 and they blocked him out entirely. He also noticed when we talked on the phone that my voice came through more clearly on the Bose than the Sony. The Sony headphones are very nice and some people might like them better, but for me the Bose were better.

I bought these on a couple days ago and after over 10 hours of listening to them over a variety of genres (rock, hip hop, R&B, synthpop, pop, country, etc) it is honestly a purchase I'm glad I made. The build and material quality is very good, they're not too heavy nor get too warm. Noise Cancelling works pretty well. Battery life is very good, with each hour of music listening at near 100% volume and noise cancelling you can expect around 5% drain every hour.

These headphones are definitely getting one up above their competitor, the Bose QC 35 II. Their ambient mode is a fantastic feature that enables one to hear their surroundings at an amplified volume. The noise cancellation truly is the best there is right now! Their addition of the touch pad is top notch as well, it is super convenient and beautifully placed allowing music volume and track control which a lot of wireless/true wireless headphones/earphones lack.

First over the ear headphones I’ve owned. They have excellent sound quality and are very comfortable. Really like that they come with a case to keep them somewhat protected. Installing the app and setting it up was simple and fast. Adjusting the sound makes it customizable for different applications such as phone calls , music and movies. Only complaint is the charging cable is way too short, but I guess it at least comes with one...

High quality headphones, very comfortable. Noise cancelling outstanding. Bluetooth exceptional quality. 30 + hour batteries. Great on airplanes for noise and for listening to books on tape and music. Also excellent for telecoms, speaker very good, phone very good. Come with high quality case. Hard wire not high quality but I had one from previous headphones that fit in case and work fine. Would recommend to a friend.

Love these headphones. Great sound, comfortable, and easy to use. If anytime is this thinking about these VS the XM4’s, the only different is a slight boost in audio quality, adaptive pausing (the audio pauses as you remove the headphones) and multi device support. If that’s not too important to you (like it wasn’t for me) it’s worth it

Very comfortable, great sound, great noise cancelling. I was once wearing these while working from home for a teleconference call and they were so comfortable after the call that I forgot they were there and left them on. About an hour later I took them off and was shocked by how loud the ambient noises of my home were (air conditioning, lawn crew, etc) compared to the complete silence I had enjoyed.

These headphones have great sound, great controls, great anc and quick attention is easy to use. The app is nicer than Bose, and the headphones are just as comfortable. There aren’t many negatives to them but the only thing I can say is when you adjust the eq you lose high end codecs even though most people would never be able to tell the difference. At a sale price of 279 these headphones may be the best value on the market.

I travel a lot so I needed a legitimate noise cancelling headphone. So I did my research and found some people recommended this product over Bose noise cancelling headphone. I don’t have a Bose so I can’t compare but I am very satisfied with this sony headphone. As soon as I turn it on, I can hear almost nothing. All the noise is gone. I sometimes use it in the hotel when I hear my neighbors TV sound. The battery last for a long time too.

Picked this up for my daughter during a recent Best Buy sale price. Excellent ANC. Nice sound quality, comfort and ease of use. To me the differences between the XM3 and the newer XM4 are so small along with Best Buy’s super sale price made this purchase a no brainer. No regrets!

This is my first set of noise cancelling headphones. I love them. They are comfortable for all day wear. They are lightweight and work great. The music quality sounds great. Outside noise is quieted. I live on a busy street with sirens and traffic noise. During a WFH situation, this has been an absolute game changer for aiding in focus and productivity and cancelling outside distractions. Highly recommend.

Love these headphones: light, comfortable, and noise canceling on par with (if not better than) Bose QC 35 IIs and better than Sennheiser PXC-550s ( I tried the three before my final decision). Sony passed my noisy apartment and commuter train tests with flying colors, and I love the ambient sound option, which allows you to hear what’s going on around you; it worked great on the train. I haven’t tried the Sonys outdoors yet, but I suspect I’ll feel much more comfortable on my evening walks with this setting available. I also tried these on a couple of domestic flights as well as an 11-hour international flight. The combination of ambient sound and noise canceling was outstanding; the noise of the engines virtually disappeared, the touch controls were easy to use, the option to temporarily suspend noise canceling by cupping the right earpiece was great for hearing airline announcements and conversing with the flight attendants, and the headphones were comfortable to wear for hours at a time. Sound quality was excellent; enough bass for my taste without it being overpowering, and good mids and highs as well. I also used the wired option to watch a movie; no complaints at all. I ultimately went with the Sonys as they have the best sound quality and the best noise canceling to my ears , and the ambient sound option is really useful. My only quibble with them is that they can only pair with one device at a time; both the Bose and Sennheisers can pair with multiple devices. It’s not critical for me though, and even though I was really on the fence for a while, Sony’s ambient sound option and slightly better sound quality was the decider for me.

Love the comfort, long battery life, superb noise cancelling, ease of changing to hear ambient sound when someone is taking to you by just putting palm over right earpiece. Wish it wssn't so expensive.

The sound is great. The bluetooth connection is also above average compared to many other devices I've used. The reason I gave them 4 stars is that the way the headphones fold and twist feel like there is a chance for breaking them if folding them carelessly in any way. Super comfy though. Even when wearing my glasses.

This headphones are excellent! Sound is incredible, well balanced and really clear. Compatible with High res audio and therefore high res music players, takes listening music to a new level. Noise cancelling is awesome just with turning on the headphones. Comfortable and very light. The only con, but not a problem for me at all, are the touch commands, that are sometimes tricky to use as they are apparently to close to each other.
