I was skeptical of the quality and noise cancelling ability of these headphones. I usually stay away from Sony products. I went in the store and compared these to the Bose. In my opinion these were the better of the two. The noise cancelling is great! They are extremely comfortable and I love the features that they have!

Great headphones. Pros: Music sounds great, bass is good, customization is cool. Easy to switch between modes with a single button and personalize your settings with the phone apps. Gets the job done, noise cancellation is phenomenal(great for loud group study floors at a college library or coffee shops), holding right ear cup allows for sound to come in(perfect for when you want to quickly listen to something i.e. your significant other lol) Cons: probably varies for everyone, but my ears get warm-hot after maybe 3 or 4 hours but I don’t mind it cuz it reminds me when to take a break. It does “get heavy” after a few hours too. Bulky looking. Can’t connect 2 devices simultaneously and switch between the 2. But it’s not too hard to pair anyways. (What I do is connect it through Bluetooth constantly on my phone but if I want to connect to anything else, i.e. laptop, I would use the included wire and bam instant connection. Thinking of the price still makes me laugh but... Overall, happy with the purchase. Don’t regret picking this over other headphones. The cons by no means make this product bad. It gets the job done and it’s simple and easy to use. Loving it.

Great for my noise cancelling and music needs while traveling overseas last summer. It holds a charge long and comes will all of the needed cords. Only wish it didn't have a buggy app to connect to my devices. Also a tad big for my small head, but very comfy and fantastic sound quality.

These are the best noise canceling wireless headphones on the market today. I have Bose QC35 and Sennheiser Momentum wireless and these are the best noise canceling of the 3. Very comfortable to wear and sound quality is well above average(personally I think the momentum still sounds better). Great headphones to own so far.

I have had the pleasure to try many headphones of all brands but these definitely offered the best sound. Yea there are more headphones out there that have the ability to tweak the highs and lows to have even better performance (for studio references) but the price and the quality of these headphones is phenomenal. I have had mine for about 1.5 years and if you take care of them, neither the bands or the plastics will snap like how they often snap for other users for careless use (don’t mean to call anyone out, but it’s true). However, I do have accumulated some scratches on them for not properly setting them down on my surfaces. Forgot to mention the noise cancellation: It’s great when you have music playing at low volumes. If you don’t understand how noise cancellation and you complain about these not being that great because you can still hear a bit of noise, then I suggest you try to educate on its complexity to know that these have a great noise cancellation system for the price. 10/10 recommend

Studied up on over-the-ear headphones extensively and kept getting pointed to these. They do not disappoint with excellent noise cancelling and sound quality, with all-day wearability. Battery life is insane. Hard to justify $200+ earbuds when these will certainly last much longer and the batteries can be replaced.

The headphones are some of the best I've owned. I don't have many con's but here they are: - The touch controls take a while to get used to - the space between the foam padding and your ears will get fairly hot on warm/hot days. Otherwise I have no issues with these headphones. Excellent sound and very comfortable.

I purchased 4 wireless headsets during the Holidays. The Sony M3 $350, Bose 35 II $299, Sennheiser HD1 $249, and Sennheiser PXC 550’s $249. The good with the Sony’s M3, the nose canceling was superior it was out of this world. The sound quality was also amazing and considering the fact that you can use the equalizer to adjust is just icing on top. They were also extremely comfortable, I think you would be just fine listening for extended hours. So with all of that goodness why did I take them back and go with The Sennheiser HD1’’s. The Sony M3 touch pad was extremely frustrating, Sony needs to get that right especially at this price point, nothing should be frustrating. I think The Sennheiser PXC 550 touch pad was more responsive and just easier to use overall - Sony really needs to take note and make it more user friendly. The Build quality and look is cheap - I totally understand how plastic keeps the weight down etc however for almost $400 they could certainly upgrade the build quality and design. Finally the price- at that price point there should not be any flaws. For me to spend that much on headsets I should not feel any type of buyers remorse. For those reasons I purchased The Sennheiser HD1’s which were on sale for $250. The HD1’s don’t get as loud and does not have the base of the Sony’s but in my opinion it gives the purists sound. The HD’s performance on all genres of music was simply amazing. The nose canceling on the HD’s doesn’t block out all the sound but it’s just right for me - Sennheiser did something magical their. The Sony’s M3 are good but for me they were not $350 good.

As of late 2018, these are the best noise cancelling phones you can get. I’ve tried the Bose QC35 II, the Bowers and Wilkins PX, the Sennheiser PXC 550, and B&P H9. These all have some flaw that’s been a dealbreaker for me, but the Sony’s perform close to perfect in all aspects. And they’re super comfortable too. Definitely recommended!

i have beats studio 3, bose qc2, v-moda m100, i've returned the bose 700, i saw the sony xm3 on sale for $199 i've been eyeing these the past years. i thought i give these a chance and wow! it surprise me a bit cause out of the box it sounded great but the winner was when i started playing with the app equalizer thats what wins it all, now i favor the xm3 overall, well xm3 and xm4 top class ANC.. a couple of weeks later it was on the deal of the day for $189 i bought another one to gift my gf and very happy gf..

Really best in its class! Outstanding noise cancellation, comfortable enough to wear for long hours, deep bass and overall excellent sound quality. I have been using this for conference calls (with phone and laptop) and never heard anyone on the receiving end complaining about the voice quality.

Best over the ear headphones I have owned. The sound quality is great and the noise cancelling is superb! Batteries seem to last a long while in between charges! Some of the features seem a little more difficult to use than necessary, but it could be that I don’t use these every day.

Noise cancellation is fantastic. Sound is immersive and robust. They fit comfortably. The only complaint is they do make my ears hot and sweaty if I wear them for too long (as in more than 1 hour).

I like the way it fits on my head and ears. Besides the noise canceling which is perfect in my opinion. Although when I use it externally, that is to say outside the home. I'm sorry it shifted a little from its place on my head and almost slipped down my neck. But for the rest very well.

Bought for husb to wear on a 15 hour flight day Super comfy excellent sound blocking, love the features especially holding hand over one ear to stop noise blocking and hear what you need without removing headset each time I’ve also used during dental surgery great noise locking there too!

I originally owned this first version and was very impressed with the audio and noise canceling. When it came time to upgrade I didn’t hesitate to get the M3. The M3 has even better noise canceling and better battery life. There is also iOS app to fine tune the headphones. I highly recommend these headphones to anyone.

I've had for almost a year now. Have to say i am not disappointed. I use them constantly and they have kept up with everything from casual listening, to long car rides, and gym workouts. Easily 24hr battery and charges very fast thanks to USB-C. Noise cancelling is the best around. 10/10 recommend.

This headphones in my opinion are the best noise cancelling headphones in the market, period. Bose are a close second, Beats are just ok if you compare it with this Sony or the Bose. These Sony headphones are very comfortable, amazing sound, and a few additional cool options that make this headset a winner. Highly recommend!

High sound quality, excellent noise canceling, & long battery life. These helped me through a few turbulent flights shortly after purchase and are great for use in nearly all conditions. When in noise canceling mode, I don’t hear any ambient sounds. These are the best headphones I have owned and used.
