The battery life is probably the best thing about these headphones. Can’t go wrong with 30 hours! - comfortable but not as comfortable as the Bose quiet comfort series in my opinion. - the noise canceling is also pretty good. Highly recommend.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The noise cancelling is one of the best, when im at my computer and turn it on i cant hear my typing on my corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Low Profile keyboard, cant hear my mouse clicks from my Roccat Leadr mouse, my air cleaner set on medium and high, my noisy upstairs neighbors tv , but sometimes his heavy footstep slams can be faintly heard. Now the build quality for the price is really lacking. The swivel points between the headband and the earcup holders make cracking noises when i put them on and off. I read many other reviews how they crack and are very careful with them. I only pull them over my ears from the front and take off the back minimising how much the cups get pulled apart. I can see them months down the line cracking just like the others. Ive had a couple of PC headsets that never made noise putting them on and off and were 50 to 100 dollars cheaper then these.

Good Noise Cancelling Headphones

Tried both of them at Best Buy several times and found they both had similar noise cancelling properties and I could not really tell any difference. I finally decided on the Sony because the technology was one year newer they looked nicer and had the hand swipe controls on the earcup. I didn't think I would like the swipe controls because they might get false readings as they brushed against other objects but I didn't get any false entries during the 30 hour travel to Asia. The ability to cover the ear cup to turn of the noise cancelling worked well.

I owned the WH-1000MX2 and gave them to my daughter to upgrade to the MX3. I can tell the difference. The MX2 was great, but the MX3 is better. I find that when I am working from home, wearing these helps close out the ambient noise and helps me concentrate better. Added bonus. While these are at the high end of the price spectrum, I have had less expensive brands with good noise cancelling, but those fell apart. The MX3 has excellent noise cancelling and are better made.

I like them more than I thought

They say it is Silver but I am pretty sure it is either Beige or Tan, either way that is a pretty unappealing color for some headphones. But hey, I won't have to worry about anyone mistaking them as their own. Now let's get to the nitty, these delightful headphones help are on point when it comes to ISO and noise canceling. The fact that they actual adjust when you're moving is great. The 1000XM3's have the ambient button that actually works and they focus where you want so for noise in front/back/rear/etc it focuses there. The controls on the right ear for play/pause/skip and rewind...I actually love these. And I can speak with folks through these with no problem. I wish I could use these for working out but alas they are very wet on the ears. The headband is adjustable, unfortunately I have a small head so that doesn't really matter to me. They do tend to slide around when doing push ups.

I think the sound is a little more crisp in the Bose but bass heavy on this model. Overall I like these better because of the features, plus they are USB-c like all my other devices. You won’t be disappointed!
