The audio quality is a little too bass heavy for my taste, even after playing around with the app I couldn't quite get the right sound that would be to my liking. Sony has also dropped some weight by narrowing the headband which is definitely a plus, the ear cups have also improved but for some reason I still had issues getting my ears snugged all the way inside the ear cup like the bose qc35. Type c charging capabilities definitely help to get a quick charge. The noise cancelling on these headphones is just simply amazing but that to me wasn't enough as the sound just did not resonate with me. Nonetheless these are by far the best out of the 2 previous wh-1000x series.

The bad: Unable to connect from multiple devices. The touch controls are a hit or miss. Ear sweat is a real thing.

I still think the Bose QC are more comfortable and the NC is better. Battery life is awesome and still getting used to the touch controls. Overall a very nice headphone with an awesome app.

They also help with 1-on-1 conversations while she is wearing her hearing aids. Originally considered the top-of-the-line Bose, but our sales rep recommended we compare Sony. The Sony's cancelled the noise 100% better! Not superbly intuitive to utilize touch features, but NO NOISE.

It was a close call but I chose the Sony because reviews generally rated them to have superior sound while the Bose gave slightly better noise cancelling. Since I rarely fly or listen in a loud environment I went for the better sound. I'm not disappointed! I have found that the sound can be further customized for my preferences with the phone app.

OMG, I love both. I owned another top-end brand before, but Sony has them beat by many miles. I never post reviews but in this case I had to. Also, just downloaded a 360 product that works with the headphones and am listening to music in high definition and have to say, I haven't heard music so good. Thank you Sony for creating such an amazing product.

Comfortable to my head however vinyl ear padding and headband along with questionable durability plastic components make me worry about a long term use.

I used them on a trip with high schoolers and it blocked out everything on the bus while providing great deep sound. The hand cup feature to let you hear when someone is talking to you works fabulous. I recommend these to any music fanatic or someone who just wants to get away from the business of life.
