I started looking at over the ear headphones and found these. Even better they were the deal of the day! I definitely recommend these as great sounding comfortable and convenient headphones.

So far they've held up well but I haven't exactly dropped them. They're great for travel due to the amazing noise cancelling. Still, don't expect miracles, you're still going to hear outside noise if you focus. Turn off the ambient control and you'll notice that it is working great and takes a lot of noise out of your listening experience. The only downside is the touch controls. They're really cool and futuristic and seemingly useful at the store display when trying them out. That said in the actual real world, the controls are more of a liability. I find myself just taking out my phone from my pocket and lowering volume that way.

I had the 900h pair, also from Sony, before these and wondered if the hype was true. These surpass the 900h in every way. They actually come with a hard shell case, akin to the Beats Studios as opposed to the soft bag the 900h set came with. The noise cancelling? Amazing. I could still hear some of my surroundings with the 900h. These? Not a thing. These truly are as great as everyone says they are.

Great Headphones for Music

However, I am not impressed with them for listening to movies or videos and that is because there is no way to increase the volume to an audible level. I got them to wear while traveling as I forgot my Bose headphones which are always wonderful. These Sony headphones had great reviews and they are great but again...for music. I could barely hear my movie on the plane with the media volume all the way up to the dangerous sound level (never an issue with my normal headphones). If you are looking for music headphones, I would recommend these. If you are looking for movie, video and music headphones, I cannot recommend them due to the non-music audio issue...especially for the price point.

Conforabtle, Good sound but overpriced

I have an iPhone 11 so it's not a bad phone, but it could be my phone. This hasn't happened in a while so it could of been part of a software update too. For the price, these should work well every single time. However, they are VERY comfortable and they have great sound and great, controlled base. The SONY app is terrible too, but they have made improvements on the app over the few months I've had it.
