Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our second pair- my husband’s is the prior model ending in 3 (this one is 4) Both extremely comfortable- for us more comfortable than the Bose and equally as great with sound cancellation in our opinion Note- we tested Many models of various brands this orice range has a significantly better noise cancellation than the lower price ranges My hisband has used his on a 14 hour flight- awesome! Super easy to learn features Highly recommend

This is the first headphones I’ve had where it feels like either my head is to small or my ears are set to high up. On all my old headphones the ear-cups needed to be adjusted down. On this set the ear pieces are all the way up and the band over the top of my head really doesn’t touch anything. Again though they sound good and have a decent play time whether using noise canceling or not. The only way I would recommend is to physically sit and wear them for an extended time. These are over the ear headphones and I initially thought they felt good. It was a little later I figured out they really didn’t git as well as I originally thought.

Good noise canceling, terrible microphone

But because it's Bluetooth, whenever the microphone is active, the audio quality drops significantly. Would not suggest for any use case that needs a microphone

This is a common characteristic of Bluetooth technology: when the microphone is engaged, the headset often switches to a lower-bandwidth profile (like HFP or HSP) to prioritize the simultaneous transmission of both microphone audio and speaker audio, which results in a necessary reduction in overall fidelity.
While this is an inherent limitation of the current Bluetooth standard, we truly appreciate you highlighting it as a major point of consideration for users who rely heavily on the microphone.

Great Headphones for the price

Even when I put them on without music everything is more quite. The noise cancelling is amazing I cant here anything or anyone and I don't have to turn to volume all the way up. The sound is crisp and clear and the headphone battery lasts for days which is amazing. Glad I brought them.

THEY ARENT WATER PROOF! NOT RESSISTENT! but all in all its great headphones. The sound, build quality and comfort is 10 out of 10! buy these headphone for anything else but the gym. I wish i would have kept them but i only had enough for workout headphones so i had to return them. But its worth the money! TRUST ME!

Great upgrade to my old QC 15 headphones.

I am really glad I bought the Sony Headphones. These headphones are very light and comfortable to wear over long periods of time. The noise cancelling is superb. I love the feature where the music and noise cancelling will stop and ambient noise is increased when I begin speaking. very easy to pair with various devices.

Even better than the MX3, the bass is really deep, and the high end is clear with easily discernible vocal notes. You can hear instruments individually, not all meshed together. This really makes a difference in your enjoyment of music! I was considering the Bose 700, but Sony offers so much more flexibility on their app to let you control the performance. You won't be disappointed in this choice!

Sony vs. Bose

I read a lot of reviews between these Sony and the Bose, and because I am an Android user, I chose the Sony. The battery life is great, the noise cancelling is decent, and the sound is good. I don't think these are as crisp and clean as the Bose brand, but I am happy with the overall product. I would recommend the Sony headphones.

When it fails...

There are 2 things that are VERY bad about these, 1 from the start and the other just started happening. From the very start I have not been a fan of the fact that you can only pair these to 1 device. Technically 2 but since you need to use an app to control them 1 device will be your phone. The other thing is that when it fails it will deafen you in 1 ear. The incredibly loud (able to be heard from the second floor of my home while I was in the basement) will cause AT LEAST considerable short term pain in 1 ear. I had them on when the issue happened and it was easily the loudest, sharpest and most painful sound I have heard. For comparison, I was in the Navy and worked on the flight deck of a carrier (IYAOYAS) and this was much worse than anything I experienced there. Having said all that, the sound quality was very good and the noise cancelling really did eliminated things like the PC fan noise from my system and the heating/AC noise. The bass is good as well and I feel the build quality is equally decent. The battery life lasted all day with constant use and the time to charge is very short. The range was good and I was able to move through a 1200 SQFT 2 story home while remaining connected to a PC in the basement with no issues. I would have given 4 stars if they had not tried to murder 1 ear.

Thier size make them easy to transport. They have great sound as well and the bass isn't too overwhelming. I can listen to them for hours without being fatigued.

I had to download the app to my phone and synch it to all my devices. Took a few hours to familiarize, charge, and synch. It works great and fits comfortably. Love the noise cancellation that is built in.

The headphones are also very comfortable (I wear them for between 2 and 4 hours several times a week). I cannot recommend these highly enough, especially if you can catch them on sale. I'm not a big fan of the app, but I also haven't used it very much. I primarily use these while on my computer, which works well.
