They are not bulky and really do well at noise cancelling. I use them daily for work and they connect to my computer via Bluetooth effortlessly.

Decided I had to have the M4's when they went on sale, they work great. the noise cancelling feature does a good job of cutting out harmful noise in both of them, Music sounds amazing with these. the mic works well for calls even in noisy enviroments. Easy to configure the way you want.

If I were to change anything it would be to swap plastic with aluminum and get rid of the touch gestures as they can get in the way and be a little hard to get down in memory.

Worth the upgrade from the WH-1000XM2's

First, Sony continues to enhance the incredible sound quality from previous generations of the product line. The construction of the headphones feels much more secure and solid as compared to the older generations which often broke near the headband. The slimmer headphones also appear to be noticeably less bulky on my head while being worn.

I mainly use these for hitting the gym and I love how I’m just vibing in my own zone. A bit of a hassle when I make any sound and it pauses my playlist to allow me to hear outside noise but aside from that, great headphone which I really enjoyed purchasing at a discount!!

Good to know that your investment is worth it. We're sorry to learn the headphones pauses the music when you make any sound.
The Speak-to-Chat mode activates when it detects the speech of the person wearing the headset, but in rare cases it may activate in response to the voices of other people, ambient environmental sounds, transportation announcements, etc. Disable Speak-to-Chat in cases where the Speak-to-Chat mode frequently activates by accident. If you want to enable it, hold 2 fingers to the touch sensor control panel until you hear the voice guidance say, “Speak-to-chat activated”.
You can also use the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app to switch between enabled/disabled, change the sensitivity of the automatic audio detection, and change the time until the Speak-to-Chat mode ends.
