Great headphones that don't last.

These are the most comfortable, best sounding headphones I have ever had. Better than a comparable Bose. The problem is they don't last. I bought them in 2022. After several months the battery stopped charging. Looked on Youtube, talked to tech support and tried all of the resets. Nothing worked. They sent me a brand new pair. I was very happy. Less than a year later the exact same thing happened. They sent me another pair. Now that pair is not charging. Talked to customer service and they said the origninal pair has a 1 year warranty, replacements only have a 90 day warranty. So 3 pair in two years, all with the same problem. Apparently this is a common problem because there are videos all over youtube. So even though I loved them I cannot spend another $350 on a pair of headphones that have never lasted even a year. Bose here I come.

We regret to hear that you are not satisfied with the battery life of the headphones. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headset is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app).

To the point where you take off the headphones and you can make believe you have super-hearing for a few seconds. Also you can allow the ambient noise in or even amplify it. Got bored on the plane the other day and decided to turn up the voice ambience and heard all about some dude’s infidelity. Guess he thought nobody would be able to hear over the engine sound but apparently he hasn’t tried these headphones. Sound quality is also amazing. Hearing parts of my favorite songs I’ve never heard before. Great at balancing two different inputs. There is some audio lag/sync issues on my Nintendo switch.

Note: Playback of audio/music on the BLUETOOTH device is delayed compared to that on the main unit due to the characteristics of BLUETOOTH wireless technology.
Tip: If your handheld console, TV, etc., has a function that adjusts the delay between the picture and sound, use it for adjustment. For details, refer to the operating instructions of the device.
You can also connect the headphones to your device via headphone cable to eliminate the audio delay.

Best Portable Noice Canceling Headphones

Bass is definitely there but would not recommend if you are a basshead and looking specifically for bass. The feature to connect to 2 devices at once (a phone and laptop for example) works very well. I can get a call, end the call, then automatically switch back to my laptop.

A great Bose option

They are certainly great especially for air travel. I recently updated to the newest Bose headset and was a bit disappointed at the lack of features compared to what Sony offered. I returned them and bought the Sony. Everyone has different sound preferences, but to me the Sony sounded a bit better and have more features at the same price point. They even seemed more durable. Also, no proprietary Bose connectors. Great case. I think Bose has fallen behind in keeping up their innovation over the last few years. Perhaps success has caused them to think they don’t need to keep up with the market and rely on name only.
