Better than before!

The new sensor that stops media from playing is sensitive enough where it doesn't feel like a gimmick. The only one wish I have is more control for the multi-device; there should be a switch in app to switch instead of having to disconnecting one of the devices. Other than that, amazing!

Decent but not great

These are massively overpriced. Semi-decent noise control, but not very effective. The noise cancelling is unequal between the right and left side, which makes it feel like one of my ears is plugged up somehow. The app is useful only in that I could tell it to stop switching to ambient sound every time I stood up- that was obnoxious. So, okay but far too pricey at full price for what I received. Skullcandy was far better imo

We take customer feedback seriously and what you've described, particularly the imbalance in noise canceling between the right and left earcups, is something we'd like to help you with. That definitely isn't the experience we want for our customers.
A good first step to address that uneven noise canceling is to try the "NC Optimizer" function in the Sony | Sound Connect app. It's designed to optimize the noise canceling based on your head shape, hairstyle and even whether you're wearing glasses. Just put the headphones on, open the app, and look for the 'NC Optimizer' option. It should only take a minute or two to run.
If that doesn't solve it, sometimes a quick reset can help with these kinds of issues. To reset your WH-1000XM4 headphones, please follow the instructions on this link: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm4/v1/en/contents/TP0002752743.html

Great if they fit

The one issue is user dependent - which is that the ear cups might bother your ears after a while. If they do, maybe the new version is a better choice. If they don’t, lucky you. The price to quality here now is excellent.

Too big for my head

It helps some. I wish I could control the headphones through my computer. I have to be connected to my computer for zoom. It takes time to stop connect to my phone, unconnect my phone and then reconnect my computer.

The noise cancellation at work and on airplanes is incredible. I’ve had some synching with my phone, but I don’t really care about that.

Great headphones

The quality fit and sound are second to none. The new multi device Bluetooth connection support is a must and a real game change. The voice activated auto mute works great. Its an awesome feature when you're working in the yard and have a set of gloves on. I love these over the ear head phones.
