The WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM5 both deliver high-quality audio with Sony’s signature noise-cancelling technology. Many users find the bass on the WH-1000XM4 to be balanced and punchy for most daily listening needs.
That said, the perception of bass can be quite subjective and depends on personal taste, genre preferences, and even how the headphones are worn.

Enhancing Bass & Sound Immersion
If you’re finding the bass a little light, try adjusting the sound through the Sony Headphones Connect app. Using the built-in equalizer, you can either select the “Bass Boost” preset or tailor the sound further by increasing the “Clear Bass” slider. This adjustment often provides the enhanced low end and immersion you’re looking for without sacrificing overall sound quality.

Considering the WH-1000XM5
