Great sound but flawed design.

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound and noise cancelation, but I can only give it 3 stars because I'm on my second pair which just broke at the hinge just like the first pair did after just under a year of use. Sony does not cover this under their warranty even though it is a design flaw. cheap plastic that WILL eventually wear and break off. I cannot recommend them for this reason. everything else is great about them.

Nice work/study-focus device

During phone calls I received complains that the microphone is not good. But again I bought a open-box item, so not sure if previous owner dropped or damaged it. I caution of using it while kids at home or absolute no while driving.

The only issue I have faced is disconnections few times during my meetings. One improvement point is changing device I have to disconnect and then connect again. Unnecessary hassle.

We'd love to troubleshoot this issue and make this a better experience for you. In the meantime, if you are using the headphones with your computer for meetings or video conferences, select calling connections (HFP/HSP) and not music playback connections (A2DP). On the speaker settings, select calling connections [Headset (WH-1000XM4 Hands-Free)]. ([Headphones (WH-1000XM4 Stereo)] is for music playback connections.)
On the microphone settings, select calling connections [Headset (WH-1000XM4 Hands-Free)] . When the microphone is not set up, the Speak-to-Chat mode activates when it detects the speech of the person wearing the headset, and the sound from the headset is muted.
