The sound is amazing but you can't charge and listen at the same time even connected to aux. With a pretty garbage battery life, the ability to charge and listen is critical.

Your feedback regarding the functionality is extremely important to us and is very much appreciated. Unfortunately, using the headphones while charging is not supported. When the headset is connected to an AC outlet or computer, all operations such as turning on the headset, registering or connecting to Bluetooth devices, and music playback cannot be performed.
For total convenience, WH-1000XM4 headphones can be paired with two Bluetooth devices at the same time. So when a call comes in, your headphones know which device is ringing and connect to the right one automatically. You'll also be able to quickly, smoothly switch your headphones to either of the two devices at the touch of a button.

It lost another star because the case made me shrink down the headphones every time I wanted to put them away and it got annoying fast. Also the app didn't work without data so that i just junk. The above facts made me feel like they just don't care about their customers so i returned them. That said the sound was good and the noise canceling is the best around.

Great audio & connectivity with limitations

Maybe I just got a bad set, but when they switched to noise canceling, you hear a bunch of swishing sounds.

The first step to resolve this is to use the NC Optimizer function in the Sony Headphones Connect app, which calibrates the noise canceling for your specific fit and environment. Also, please check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off in the app, as this can sometimes cause intermittent sounds.

Not a regret in the world…they’re just as good as the reviews claimed. They feel great on the head and sound awesome. The noise cancelling is the best I’ve had in a pair of headphones. Going to enjoy these on my flight to Hawaii in a couple weeks.
