    Great sounding headphones! .... When it works I'm on my third pair of this model. Not a fan of the Gen 5's design. The first one developed a weird issue. The noise cancelling would randomly choose to blast your ear with noise, in effect assisting you in simulating what tinnitus feels like. I later found out that "Oily ears"? can cause a weird issue with the Noise cancelling headphone in the ear cups clogging. This is the first time i've heard of this, as my XM3's have never has an issue after years of use. The second time, the ANC just completely died on a random afternoon.... One second your listening to music on the plane, then all off sudden the ambient sound no longer gets removed & you hear the lovely roar of turbines. Hopefully this third pair works. Best Buy Warranty has really worked out for this pair. Random note: the New Bose QC 45 has odd channeling issue on their earcups. Either you don't notice & it's great or you do notice it & you can't unnotice afterwards. :(
