A great headphone at an awesome price!

I compared this to some of the others on the market, but the overall performance, sound quality which audiophiles would love, battery life (30 hours), design, and the especially the price compared to some other similarly spec’d headphones, this headphones wins hands down! Would highly recommend this product.

One of the best pairs of headphones I've used.

The most I've spent on a pair of headphones before this was $129 on the Logitech Pro X headset, which I used for a few years and really enjoyed. Recently, I was thinking a lot about cutting the cord and going Bluetooth for my headphones. No more tripping over the cables! I'd always heard good things about this pair of headphones, but I'd never considered them because of the price. I managed to pick these up on sale during black friday and it's quickly become the best purchase I've made this year. Not only is the bluetooth connection reliable, the sound quality is FANTASTIC for a pair of bluetooth headphones. Naturally there are some compromises in terms of sound quality when you use a wireless connection vs a cable, but the good news is that these headphones also allow for a wired connection as well. They come with a 3.5m cable that you can connect to the headphones, and in my testing it worked and sounded just as good as you'd expect for the price. I use them in bluetooth mode with sound cancelling enabled and can easily go two days without charging them, the battery life is phenomenal coming from a pair of Bluetooth earbuds. I highly recommend these headphones if they're on sale - but if you have the money to burn, even at normal price I would say these headphones are more than worth their price, considering the sound quality, noise cancellation, and feature-set are all top notch.

Best Buy I ever made

I even considered getting the Apple headphones for a split second. Thankfully I came across someone who actually purchased these ones and let me try them on. The ones on display were a bit stretched out from constant try-ons but the person’s headphone’s were in perfect condition. Based on that experience I decided that the X4 were the most optimal choice. Not only because they’re comfortable all around, from the ears to the headband (something Apple’s didn’t have), but also the quality sound, the app where you can change the settings depending on the listening experience you wish to have based on the music you’re listening to. Although the touch feature for the controls can take a bit to get a hang of, they’re not an issue to me. Ever since my purchase I can’t stop wearing them and remembering music I want to listen to specifically with the headphones! 20/10 recommend

Sony's amazing quality

I had an older wrsion where the fabric on the ear piece came off in one side after a few years. I bought a newer version (and i think the next step up in quality) as the sound and comfort is fantastic. I highly recommend this product!

My New Obsession

Really own away. Stands toe to toe with the Bose QC 35s my dad has and maybe even surpasses them. The in app equalizer was superb and so many other cool settings. Was extremely skeptical the atmospheric equalizer would even be able to tell my elevation but lo and behold it was dead on when I tried it at 7500 feet at my house in Colorado vs at sea level. It had a great chic design with no branding but cool bronze Sony accents. Great battery life and sound canceling. Not sure I’ll ever be able to fly on a plane without them. Fairly comfortable and great for taking calls as well. Highly recommend.

Long overdue upgrade from xm3 to xm4

Audio quality had a big improvement because of this. Unfortunately multipoint Bluetooth doesn't support LDAC, so I'm keeping it off. Who needs multipoint connectivity when you can easily tap the headphones with NFC enabled devices and switch as you please. Best and most comfortable headphones in this price range.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[I want to preface this by saying I'm not a Sony "fan" I'm not giving a good review because of the brand, this is my genuine opinion] Been using em for a couple months now and the build quality is great, very sturdy, and the audio is high quality. If you love bass, you're all good with these headphones, if the default sound is not to your liking, you can easily change it with the Sony app. the only thing I will say is, these headphones pick up fingerprints kinda easily, so if you're nitpick about that maybe consider getting a lighter color.

Up until I accidentally snapped the swivel on them… add the protection plan and don’t be like me…

The noise canceling mode is great as it even blocks out your own breathing! The headphones are very light so you can wear them for long amounts of time without hurting around your ear so you could definitely wear them to sleep if you wanted.

I traded in my AirPods Max because they are lighter, more comfortable, cheaper, and the sound is a lot better. It’s so comfortable that on multiple occasions I fall asleep with them on, and it takes up a lot less space in my bag than the maxs’ since they fold, I also think the touch interface on the right side is so intuitive rather than one tiny button I can barley find most of the time. Also I love how easily they can be cleaned since the max has mesh where in the places it stains easily, which is more hygienic. I’m so glad they were on sale I would have definitely paid the price of the AirPods Max for these, but I’m glad I didn’t :)

I’m autistic and have auditory processing issues so being in loud spaces is extremely overwhelming for me. These block out so much with the noise canceling mode. The earmuffs are soft and don’t make my earrings dig into my head and I can wear my blue light glasses with them on.

Too many annoying noises in the background distracting your focus? On a plane with the loud dude bloviating his mediocre opinions everywhere? Look no further than this beauty. The noise cancellation is top tier. Audiophiles will love the clarity. This also doubles as a gaming headset if you buy a separate microphone. With a simple click you can hear the battery percentage, and it will likely shock you that you STILL don't need to throw it on the charger yet. 10/10 recommend

Every other brand of headphones I've used before have a higher clamping power in comparison. You can easily wear the Sony WH1000-XM4 headphones for hours without feeling any discomfort. Audio quality is very good and the noise cancelling is very effective in loud environments. The Sony app also allows you to toggle the effectiveness of the noise cancelling, which I find handy for different situations.
