    Great Pair of Headphones

    These are great! I especially love being able to connect to two different devices at once. It sometimes has issues with auto-detecting which device is active, but for the most part it’s not a problem. Which is a huge deal given that I use Apple devices.

      We're glad that you like the multipoint function of the headphones. Your feedback is also greatly appreciated. Depending on the device, silent streaming can continue on the first device when the second device has a Bluetooth connection to the headphones. If this is the case, the headphones remain connected to the first device, and the audio doesn't switch to the second device.

      Follow these steps to hear sound from the second device:

      1. Open the Sony | Headphones Connect app, select the System tab, and make sure the Connect to 2 devices simultaneously option is set to ON.
      2. Stop playback on the first connected device.
      3. Close the audio (music) application on the first connected device.

    My 2nd XM

    I already have the XM3 but giving it away to my father in law coz I can’t resist this one. Who wouldn’t? This can connect to 2 devices at the same time and the proximity sensor is a bonus. I love it. Also - its blue and I am a sucker for this color. Love it so much I wear it all the time.

    Great noise canceling

    I bought these for noise canceling to block excessive dbs from amplified music near by. They work great! Cut about 80% and a good % of the base.

    We purchased a new riding lawnmower and needed ear protection. We were set on the Bose headphones but when talking to the Best Buy expert decided Sony were the brand for us. Work great and super easy to use.

    Subpar noise cancelling but awesome music quality

    I bought these for the sole purpose of blocking out the absurd noise that airboats / fanboats make on a nearby lake (which is 130 yards away with thick brush and vegetation in the way) with the noise cancelling feature, but they don't work too well. I can still hear them through these headphones. Besides the noise cancelling being subpar, they are great for listening to high quality music through.

      While we are happy that you appreciate the sound quality of our WH1000XM4, we regret to hear that the noise canceling capability is not sufficient. This is usually not the case with our XM4 nor the experience we want you to have. Please allow us to troubleshoot this issue and turn your experience into a better one. Usually, for noise canceling not to work properly, it is because the headset is not worn properly or the settings are not set correctly. Here are some steps on how to make it work correctly.

      - Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
      - Adjust the headset into a comfortable position.
      - The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
      - Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off.
      - Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.
      - With the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, check the setting of [Ambient Sound Control]. If it is set to [Wind Noise Reduction] or [Ambient Sound], the effect of noise canceling is reduced. Set it to the noise canceling mode.
      - Disable Speak-to-Chat, and check whether the situation has improved.
      - Check with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app whether the function of the CUSTOM button is set to [Ambient Sound Control].

    Microphone is AWFUL

    Worst decision ever. These are going to be returned less than 48 hours after buying them. First, great noise cancellation. Won't deny that. Better than my old ones and way better than the Airpod Pro's for obvious reasons. I mean, something that completely covers the ear has to be better. It blocked out the tantrums from our kids during the day on calls. The problem is the microphone. It has all sorts of static, sounds distant, and is just plain awful. Not sure if this is a fluke or how they all are. Truly some of the worst call quality I have ever had. I had 7 calls yesterday and one today and each time the person said, could you try changing your microphone? I am embarrassed. Something this nice shouldn't be so awful. Failure on behalf of Sony. Moral of the story, do not buy if you care about the microphone. Only buy if you are going to use for noise cancellation and music.

    I thought the headphones got lost in the mail so I contacted customer service and they were absolutely amazing. The headphones themselves work like a charm, I have never had noise cancelling headphones before and I do not think I will ever go back to earbuds!! They are amazing!!!

    Straight lemon unit. Battery issues.

    Bought one of these. Straight lemon. Unit came with 10 per cent battery. Left if on charge for a couple of hours, then tried again, it showed 100 per cent battery. I connected it to phone and right away I get the message "Low Battery, please charge". Left it again overnight charging, next morning same thing. Tried different cables and block, same result. I ended up returning it and getting a different one off of another retailer. Other than that, the sound was amazing and noise cancelling the best I've gotten so far. Definitely love the headphone, not the lemon I got from BestBuy.

    The sound of the headphones while wearing are great. They are a little too sensitive to touch. And when you're receiving a phone call they cannot hear you over the background noise

    Best Wireless Headphones On The market... Period!

    Everything is perfect save for the motion controls which need some tweaking to function more accurately but I keep my phone in my hand 95% of the time when listening to music so I prefer to control the music directly from there anyway, which is why it's not much of a deal-breaker for me.
