Please try some solutions below:
For optimum performance, please make sure that the headphone software is updated as it includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements.
Ensure that the headphones are properly connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
If your smartphone or mobile phone supports both HFP and HSP, set it to HFP.

We are glad you like the multipoint function of the headphones. When using the headphones for phone call. Check that both the headset and the connected device (i.e., smartphone) are turned on.
Turn up the volume of the connected device and the volume of the headset if they are too low.
Check the audio settings of the Bluetooth device to make sure the sound is output from the headset during a call. The WH-1000XM4 headphones offer further improvements to our industry-leading noise cancelation, exceptional sound quality, and smart listening that adjusts to your behavior and your location. Using the Sony Headphones Connect app, Ambient Sound Control lets you adjust the volume of background sound and gives you the option to allow voices alone to be heard. Meanwhile, the Equalizer lets you customize sound levels to suit your music.

Hi LauraBaker, We're so delighted to hear you love everything about these headphones and that you are enjoying its incredible audio. While primarily designed for wireless audio streaming, the WH-1000XM4 headphones can also be used as a wired pair of headphones with the included audio cable. An ideal option for when you have an older, non-wireless device or you've run out of battery power. And, in case you didn't know, the noise canceling function also works when using the supplied headphone cable and with the headphones turned on. Thanks for choosing Sony! -Jess

Hi Jaqke,

We regret to hear that you are not having a complete experience because of computer connectivity. The headphones may have been connected to the computer through Low Energy (LE) communication mode. This usually occurs when the headphones are paired without pressing the power button for seven seconds and may result in the headphones not pairing to the computer or the computer not having sound.

To resolve the issue, make sure to press the power button on the headphones for seven seconds to put the headphones in pairing mode before you pair the headphones with the computer.

After the headphones are in pairing mode, both WH-1000XM4 and LE_WH-1000XM4 appear on the computer screen. LE_WH-1000XM4 may appear first, and then a few seconds later WH-1000XM4 will appear. Wait for the WH-1000XM4 to appear on the computer screen and select it.

Note: It may take up to one minute before WH-1000XM4 appears.
